Job Description

Provide high quality business management, coordination and project management support to the Regional Head of Private Bank - MENAP

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Driving strategic business initiatives:

-Responsible for assisting in the development and management of high level strategic business initiatives for Private Bank and coordinating the business plans, processes and people in support of these initiatives
-Support the REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP in developing ,driving and coordinating a consolidated strategy including strategy implementation ,identifying and analyzing strategic opportunities ,identifying gaps and actions to deliver on those opportunities

Effective business management :

-Drive a management process in order to enable the REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP to effectively manage the region's Private Bank Objectives.
-Closely monitor the development ,implementation and performance of business critical issues .Assist with regular business review meetings ,conduct proactive data analysis on all metrics ,including monthly financials ,pipeline ,budget ,etc
-Tracking Performance ,development and implementation of business critical issues using existing MIS and data provided by functional and business support
-Provide business management ,coordination and project management support for REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP
-Work with colleagues at multiple levels within Private Bank and other business planning managers to ensure a global standard approach to business management and issue resolution
-Assist REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP in planning and monitoring annual revenue and cost budget for Private Bank
-Ensure Private Banking compliance with Group policies, including operational risk framework, compliance risk monitoring, AML and all aspects of corporate governance.
-Extensive diary and email management
-Organize regular team meetings
-Organize ,coordinate and take minutes of major meetings and committees if required
-Follow up on actions arising from different meetings up to completion.
-Approve requests via systems on behalf of REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP
-Assist with the smooth running of REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP office and ensure premises and IT issues are promptly addresses
-Effectively maintain and manage all office and filing systems and ensure that the office is well kept.
-Day to day management of cost centre .Manage REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP costs on items like transport ,travel and telephones.

Set up business intelligence and analytical capability :

-Developing and sustaining data driven management culture
-Establish and enhance existing sales analytics for Management & sales staff and this includes identification of optimal analytics tools and automation of reports
-Helping the business in achieving the revenue targets by identifying opportunities and risks with the help of analytics and data modeling

Communication:
-Act as the main contact and information source in office .Manage internal and external lines of commutation for REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP

-Assist REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP with follow up correspondences and execute actions as appropriate .Complete delegated work on behalf of REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP and track to completion.

-Preparation of presentation for business reviews and meetings

People & Talent :

-Assist the REGIONAL HEAD OF PRIVATE BANK - MENAP in developing and embedding a high performance culture by embracing management processes and activities with a goal of creating an environment of performance excellence

Projects:

Manager the country projects in close liaison with the Regional & Global teams.
Track and follow up the regulatory projects

Service:

Act as enabler for service, cost and other initiatives for the country.
Work on business efficiency projects in liaison with various operations unit heads
Support GSSC governance activities

Financials:

- Work closely with ITO and GSSC Finance teams on issues such as budgets, monthly performance tracking, preparation of ITO metrics, etc.

- Analyze performance and costs; contribute to cost reduction by eliminating waste and identifying cost reduction opportunities.

- Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the plans, pointing out material negative deviations and recommending prompt corrective actions;

MIS / Reporting:

- Ensure timely submission of ITO West packs, Group WB and CB information requests, Group Operations information requests etc.

- Carry out ad-hoc and regular analysis of operational and business data to identify key risk trends, volume increases etc. to assist the operations, technology and business teams to pro-actively manage risk and forecasts.

Communication:

- Working closely with the CIO, ensure that key successes in UAE are communicated to Regional and Group functions.

- Act as point of contact for GSSC and represent the interests of UAE operations and business.

- Coordinate activities to meet the overall objectives of the CIO

- Participate in the preparation of ITO's Annual, Half Year and End of Year achievements & highlights;

Risk:

- Work together with the Risk Management department to define ITO UAE annual risk appetite;

Others:

To work with the International Corporates and Consumer Banking Unit Heads for developing the cash management and trade sales plans in line within overall Transaction banking Product Business Plans and the RM plans for the country.
To structure Cash Management and Trade solutions and sell products and services to new and existing customers in the integrated and meet/exceed sales goals and targets in respect of revenues and volumes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • To ensure that TB product revenues and profitability targets are achieved/ exceeded.
  • To undertake market situation analysis to identify new business opportunities in co-ordination with Product Management and Coverage teams.
  • To understand customers' businesses and to anticipate the requirements through a consultative selling process. To match customers' needs with product capabilities through presentation of tailored demonstrations and proposals. To negotiate terms and conditions with customers to maximise revenue and profitability.
  • To provide structured solutions to meet the specific cash management and trade services requirements of our customers and prospects.
  • To undertake a disciplined product-oriented sales management process. To monitor, track and report on sales activity on a periodic basis and to ensure action is taken to meet sales targets.
  • To train coverage team RMs in product knowledge, provide technical product expertise and conduct joint calls to ensure joint sales goals are met, new revenue opportunities are identified and customer feedback on product and competition is obtained.
  • To assist product management and development in strategic product rollouts.
  • To provide feedback and assistance to all areas of transaction banking; e.g., Product Management, Marketing, etc. to ensure that the voice of the customer and local requirements are incorporated into ongoing plans and initiatives. External

CONTRIBUTES TO

Development of the country Transaction Banking business plans in line within overall transaction banking Product Business Plans for the country and regional / global segments.
Primary accountability for generation of incremental revenues, from fees and float income, and attracting and locking-in client relationships through value-added transaction banking services.
Protection of the Banks reputation. Banks ability to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Minimising risk of Bank being used by money launderers

AUTHORITIES

Accountability for managing the business development cost base within agreed budget.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred MBA or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in the cash management and trade sales related field.
  • Preferred experience in senior level client management, sales territory management and managing people and teams is important, as is interpersonal skills, presentation and negotiation skills, oral and written communications.
  • Understanding of the bank operations, treasury, trade finance, money markets and regulations on a local and regional level is needed.
  • Have a good knowledge of the Groups Policy, Standards, local regulations and legislation of the prevention of money laundering.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The role-holder will have the following experience:
  • Significant FInancial Crime experience in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Policies, Procedures and Standards relating to Financial Crime Risk, as well as knowledge of the local regulations and legislation on AML/Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) and sanctions.

Supports the Regional FCC transaction monitoring and screening framework appropriate to the Region's Anti Money Laundering (AML)/Combating financing Terrorism (CFT) risks. Key Roles and Responsibilities

This role aims to drive these functions that enable the business to effectively adhere with global standards, controls and levels of conduct on the management of quality Client Static Data and Off-boarding activities.

Policies & Procedures:

  • Overall ownership of the implementation / adherence to established and approved policies and procedures for all processes managed
  • Keep the Relationship Manager (RM)/Client Coverage Manager (CCM) and Hub well-versed of these approved Policies and Procedures
  • Lead in ensuring policies and procedures are well-documented, approved, and kept updated

Signature Update Process
