Description

Position Summary – Position will be responsible for sales and business development (achieving Sales target) across AP markets (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman) in Diabetes Care Business i.e. sales management, distributor management and performance monitoring, new launches plans, key account mapping, retail business plans, chain pharmacies contracts/agreements...etc.

Key responsibilities:

·         Identify growth opportunities and ensure execution of strategic plans to accelerate the growth in AP countries

·         Fulfill information/data needed, critical for business growth and sustainability

·         Develop and engage Key opinion leaders: Advocacy and awareness for Diabetes, participate in scientific studies and forums.

·         Responsibility of integrating a regional Sales Force Effectiveness and Customer centricity (PCSA) platform for the strategic markets.

·         Role in the EMA Diabetes Care projects such as tender management tool as well as ASR, FFM.

·         Prospecting and assessing new markets / segments for business opportunities for growth.
·         Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.

·         GTM and market validation for new launches (PP, ASD, IS…etc.)

·         Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

Operational:

Distribution and channel management:

·         Ensure effective and suitable means of distributor performance management.

·         Manage effectively a network of distributors across AP for BD DC, Monitoring the Distributors’ business performance against budget and to advice / undertake corrective action in liaison with leadership where necessary.

·         Holds regular meetings with Distributor sales staff to monitor KPIs fulfilment and progress.

·         Provide high standards of ongoing training for the medical representatives so that they possess sufficient medical and technical knowledge to present information on the PCSA and company’s

·         Manage supply chain and forecasting for assigned territory, coordination with country SC team.

·         Leading a highly engaged distributors’ commercial team to strengthen the brand equity and identify growth opportunities.

·         Talent management via, motivating, mentoring and coaching distributors’ teams.

Sales Management

·         Leading distributors' sales teams in the assigned territories.

·         Sales analysis: ensure availability of required sales data and it’s analysis to the team to support their objectives.

·         Development of business and operating plans in liaison with business leadership.

·         Tender management: identify all possible opportunities and develop strategy in Liaison with country and regional management team.

·         Develop and engage retail Key stakeholders: manage agreements/contracts with the retail key accounts, and also run special campaign (Advocacy and awareness for Diabetes, participate in scientific studies and forums).

·         Develop and Manage contracts/agreements with the chain pharmacies with specific rebates/FOC, prices and slabs of annual consumption and product mix

Business development

·         Implement marketing plan and strategy for specific products group category. Identify opportunity, develop segmentation and positioning.

·         Identifies the needed campaigns/tools for the different market segments

·         Account mapping  for market segments and identification of business  Potential
Qualifications

Profile

Bachelor in Science or Pharmacy
MBA from reputable university is a plus

Minimum Experience:

Strong distributors management experience
Strong sales achievements tract record
Experience in managing agreements/contracts with chain pharmacies
Strong market/segment development experience
6-8 years in Pharma and Medical Device market

Age: 30-35 years (flexible)

  • Proven track record in sales management
  • Solid experience in managing distributors’ performance
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical device industry
  • Ability to work efficiently in Matrix business environment
  • Flair for learning and progress in career.
  • Pleasant and socially active personality
  • Willing to travel extensively >50%
  • Ability to handle diverse cultures and people.
  • Commercially savvy / business acumen
  • Team player.

Other skills:

Good computer and presentation skills
Speak/write English.  Arabic is an advantage
