The DPR Entertainment Team works collaboratively regardless of job titles or duties to deliver world class entertainment. The Stage Manager is responsible to ensure that all aspects of each production operates as intended/directed by Production Management. To provide practical and organizational support to the team inclusive of but not limited to directors, performers, designers, stage technicians, and costuming. Oversees pre-production, advancement, rehearsals, production, and strike.

Play Your Part
The DPR Entertainment Team works collaboratively regardless of job titles or duties to deliver world class entertainment. The Stage Manager is responsible to ensure that all aspects of each production operates as intended/directed by Production Management. To provide practical and organizational support to the team inclusive of but not limited to directors, performers, designers, stage technicians, and costuming. Oversees pre-production, advancement, rehearsals, production, and strike.
Main Duties:
- Meet with the Production Manager on a weekly basis
- Holds weekly production meetings with Assistant Stage Manager, Entertainment Coordinator, Performers, and Techs of each production / event
- Produce and distribute weekly production reports as stipulated by the Production Manager
- Coordinates with Human Resources to schedule onboarding for any & all new staff, cast, and techs
- Attend any DPR Budget meetings as stipulated by the Production Manager
- Liaise and communicate with outside producers and production staff for any and all special events
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment
- Interface with DPR internal and external clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Scheduling and running each production, parade, or special event
- Overseeing the daily expenses and inventory of each show ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Coordinating rehearsals, load ins/outs, fittings and employee well-being
- Safety compliance for each facility and employee as assigned
- Will call shows as needed and required
- Assist the Production Manager as they prepare and present inputs related to organizational/ departmental/ project budgets to the next reporting line
- Assist the Production Manager as they manage and control the actual cost verses budget on periodic basis and provide financial reports/data related to the department/ divisional/ project’s financial performance
- Submit purchase orders and reconcile payments, staffing and inventory budgets.
- Assist the Production manager as they develop and implement policies, procedures and processes for the respective function/department and ensure reviewing and keeping the existing ones updated as part of the ‘continuous process improvement’
- Assist the Production Manager as they manage implementation of relevant electronic systems to bring efficiency and effectiveness to existing processes
- Set objectives/ KPIs/ milestones for the respective department/ function and conduct appraisals for direct reports on Electronic Performance Management System
- Ensure that team members are provided learning and career development opportunities by identifying successors within the team, preparing them for the next accountable roles and recommending them for external trainings whenever required in consultation with HR Department
- Ensure that productivity and service delivery of the department is improved on a continuous basis by keeping team members motivated and retained. Collaborate with management to develop cross training and temporary promotional opportunities
- Must be able to adapt to an ever changing work environment
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team
Are You a Star?
In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:
Essential:
- Minimum five years equivalent theme park, theatrical, and/or cruise ship experience in
- Stage Management
- High School Graduate
- Five years equivalent experience in Stage and/or Production Management
- Computer skills- proficient in Word, Excel, and general computer literacy
- People and time management
- Ability to communicate with all kinds of people
- Great problem solver
- Ability to work well in a high pressured and fast paced environment
Desirable:
- University Diploma
- Theatrical directing, designing, and/or acting experience
- Stage craft and/or technical experience
- Stage Management experience
- Production Management experience
- Ability to adapt to an ever changing work environment
- Ability to work with many different artistic personalities and staff
- Ability to juggle several different tasks and job responsibilities at the same time
