Job Opening for Service Line Manager – Deep Foundation Testing with Fugro

Job description

To provide overall management of deep foundation testing group, primarily focused on Osterberg Cell testing, within the Middle East region, including development of new territories, markets and services.

Roles And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct, monitor and maintain the operations and activities of Business unit to achieve financial targets including profitability, cash collection and growth.
  • Implementation of the highest practicable standards of QHSSE performance conforming to appropriate international standards.
  • Introduction of new services / capabilities (including non-destructive techniques) to expand the current service portfolio.
  • Business development and key client relationship management.
  • Tender/Proposal preparation in line with financial strategy.
  • Review of project KPI performance, including troubleshooting and Client liaison.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance.
  • Coordinate with Business Line Manager on contractual reviews and negotiation.
  • Active role in cash collection and AR performance of service line.
  • Mentor, manage and develop Business unit team (technical, commercial and project management skills).
  • Develop and implement procedures to achieve continual improvement in risk management standards.
  • Liaison with other Fugro OpCo managers in the region to realise market potential in their territory.
  • Preparation of technical papers, attendance at regional conferences, expositions and other key marketing seminars.
  • Technical review of engineering pile designs aimed at providing a value-engineering benefit to Client
  • Act as role model for excellence, exceptionalism, quality, professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar .
Post graduate training in business administration and/or geotechnics preferable

Skills / experience required to do the job :

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the Ground Engineering profession of which at least 3 have been in a position of responsibility for a business unit.
  • Demonstrable understanding of accounting, finance, legal, commercial and human resource management.
  • Numerate and computer literate including Microsoft Office.
  • Proven organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel in region .
