Job Opening for PR and Communications Senior Officer - UAE National with Healthpoint, A Mubadala Company

Job description

  • Assist in the development of, and execute annual communications plan
  • Generating awareness of the facility through all media outlets and maximizing opportunities for publicity in all media through careful research and targeted editorial pitches
  • Overseeing proactive and reactive media relations
  • Finalizing press releases and media kits
  • Receiving and following up all media correspondences, requests and enquiries
  • Initiating, coordinating, attending and supervising all media interviews, press conferences, opening ceremonies and other media activities with printed media (newspapers, magazines, directories), broadcast media (radios, televisions) and online media (blogs and news websites)
  • Maintaining professional and on-going relationships with media to support achieving the goals outlined in the public relations plan, including the distribution of targeted media releases, media kits and other public relations related material
  • Helping to prepare interviewees for face-to-face and phone interviews
  • Editing and proof reading written responses from interviewees and articles by management targeted to the media
  • Managing and running PR campaigns
  • Utilizing different communication channels to create brand awareness among the public on facilty services, specialties, rare and complex surgeries and medical conferences
  • Promoting departmental events and accomplishments internally within facility as well as externally
  • Helping to proofread brochures and printed materials issued by other departments within facility including conferences and symposiums brochures
  • Coordinating any sponsorship requests by stakeholders such as medical exhibitions
  • Proofreading and editing the information and articles submitted by physicians and departments
  • Providing consultation on Health Campaigns and overseeing its media coverage
  • Proposing the participation of facility in significant community and social events that
  • guarantee generation of local awareness on the facility through market research
  • Leading and coordinating and promoting major internal communications activities
  • Proofreading and approving newsletters produced by other departments
  • Developing and maintaining active work relations with all departments within Healthpoint to better utilize media for promoting department functions 

Must have worked in a PR and communications role for at least 4 years with a focus on writing.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • PR and communications professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in writing communication plans, preparing press releases, liaising with the media
  • Written and spoken English to be at an advanced level
  • Event organization and management a real benefit
  • MS Office and computer proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet goals and deadlines
  • Good communication skills
