Job Opening for Senior Operations Executive (Revenue Management) with dnata

Job description

Plan, manage and monitor the operations of Revenue Management by effectively managing fare distribution to maximise sales and revenue. Ensure the highest level of service with airlines globally and internal departments in order to maintain and enhance the company's image.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the operations of Revenue Management by ensuring optimal utilisation of resources, leading to the achievement of the annual budgets in net contribution, steering sales on preferred carriers, total revenue and income, exceeding wherever possible in the areas specified.
  • Effectively manage fare distribution through to various channels of dnata Travel such as B2B portal iTravel, dnata Front Office (dFO), B2C etc. Discuss and agree with respective Line Manager to program fare distribution so as to optimise revenues.
  • Negotiate with airlines for Groups / Ad Hocs / seat blocks to ensure competitive edge over our competition and assist Line of Businesses (LOBs) service clients based on their needs, whilst maximising revenue.
  • Source and negotiate ADM (Airline Debit Memo) buster fares with respective airlines, load & distribute to the respective office location for sale and thus negate ADM effect on bottom line.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and ensure Service Level Agreements effectively met. Constantly interact with all LOB Operations Managers to ensure effective service delivery to dnata Travel clients.
  • Continuously seek improvements and make recommendations in business processes, systems and technology, in order to ensure that business targets are achieved in the most efficient manner.
  • Manage day-to-day operations for Low Cost Carriers (LCC) carriers within dnata travel and regularly check the credit limits for all LCC carriers in order to maintain a healthy credit buffer, that will offer LOBs within dnata travel the ability to transact and issue tickets on these carriers.
  • Monitor and manage BSP (Billing Settlement Plan) activations for GSA carriers, while ensuring respective Travel Agencies are in compliance with the required paper work and required bank grantee. Admin manage BSP for Travel Consultants and manage user settings, create new users, reset passwords for easy access to ADM & related notification.
  • Ensure periodic and ad-hoc reporting is carried out to specification and within required time frames and recommendations are made to senior management for changes.
  • Manage the performance management process for staff across the section, ensuring quality and timely completion of reviews for the team. Manage the team's performance through coaching, encouraging staff development and progression, and motivate the team by role modelling leadership and team-working behaviours.
  • Specific to the Market Research Role
  • Under the guidance of the Revenue Manager design and implement cost effective research methodologies which deliver robust and relevant market data. Source and evaluate various data suppliers' options and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Collect and analyse data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting current and future product demand. Map and make recommendations to Senior Management on product design, delivery and promotion (including expanding product offerings).
  • Collaborate with Senior Management and sales team to understand the departmental and business objectives so as to ensure research efforts are aimed to meet these objectives and market dynamics.
  • Ensure sales steering based on research & recommendations from Pricing Team, which will positively influence the dnata Travel's overall revenue.

Qualifications

Graduate in a Business related discipline.

Experience

5+ years' experience at a middle management capacity in travel based organisation.

Knowledge / Ability / Skills

*Knowledge of IATA regulations.
*IATA certificate or equivalent in advanced fares and ticketing.
*Excellent knowledge of local market fares on principle carriers.
