Manager
• Plan and strategize the overall RTA Green Economy and Energy directives from Local, Federal & Legislative Levels, including identification of Organizational objectives related to RTA Green Economy and Energy management.
• Oversee the implementation of RTA Green Economy and Energy Management Frameworks, and related plan(s) across RTA, including Corporate Governance.
• Ensure the correct setting and interpretation of Green Economy & Energy Objectives and planning requirements into goals and key initiatives.
• Identify the applicable legislative requirements and other international standards for continual benchmarking and trending of RTA’s Green and Energy management.
• Review requirements for specific adjustments during the implementation of Green Economy Framework and Energy Management Systems to satisfy the defined related Objectives.
• Ensure that Green Economy and Energy systems are integrated into RTA’s business management and work practices that forms as part of the culture to accomplish derived Objectives.
• Ensure RTA Green Economy and Energy Directions are communicated, understood and effectively implemented throughout all RTA Agencies & Sectors, and its project.
• Support facilitating all staff to attain the required skill sets and culture for Sustainable Green and Energy Efficient Operations of RTA.
• Provide periodic reports on Green Economy and Energy performance status within RTA.
• Support the implementation of internal and external audit programmes in the areas of Green Economy and Energy.
• Act as RTA focal point with third parties for all matters related to the Green Economy and Energy, in consultation with the Director.
• Provide support o RTA Green Economy and Energy Committee (or equivalent).
• Ensure the timely submission of personal objectives of subordinates to the senior management.
• Implement directives from the Director, and provide full assistance for the execution of his / her assigned roles and duties.
• Perform other responsibilities related to the position as appropriate.
Skills
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Renewable Energy / Chemical or Science from a recognized university.
• 7 years of work experience in Green Economy / Energy / Environment Management ideally gained in the transport sector.
• Ability to develop independently Green Economy and Energy Management Systems.
• Expertise in auditing of Green Economy and Energy Management Systems
• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience gained with international organizations in Green and Energy planning, management and implementation.
• Knowledge in Green Economy and Energy standards, functions, regulations and procedures.
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues
