Job opportunity for Senior Manager Security Operations with Etihad Airways

We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Technology & Innovation function at senior manager level for Security Operations to govern and oversee the delivery of supplier provided Security Operations services.

You will add immediate value to the division by ensuring the Security Operations processes are executed and corrective actions taken by the managed security services provider as per agreed policies and processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES

• Govern the delivery of security services by managed security services provider to agreed service level standards
• Oversee information security operations delivery by the managed security services provider, including taking an active role in managing level 1 security incident resolutions
• Serve as the escalation point for information security operational requests
• Ensure that supplier provided reports are reviewed by Etihad for adherence to agreed SLAs
• Ensure effectiveness of security services provided by managed services provider for detection, prevention, protection and remediation of security incidents
• Oversee and direct the enforcement of information security controls to Etihad security standards, policies and regulatory requirements by the managed services provider
• Provide consultation and security advice to the managed security services provider
• Ensure training and development programs are in place ensure Security Operations Managers are equipped to perform their roles
• Act as the focal point for security and forensic investigations leveraging service provider resources and experts whenever possible
• Lead and coach the Security Operations team on best practices 

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of industry best practice standards pertaining to Information Security, risk management an data privacy, Security Operations, Forensic Analysis and Incident Management
• Experience with Information Security operations tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, End-point security and IAM required
• Understanding of ISO27001 and COBIT standards, international and local regulations pertaining  to Information Security and data privacy
• Essential to have leadership within a corporate security environment
• Proficiency in industry standard Service Management Operations principles: Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, Change Management etc.
• Oversee execution of projects by security services providers and internal teams
• Excellent administrative skills with effectiveness in delivering modules and driving POCs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Effective leadership and analytical skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree from a University
• Industry and domain certifications such as  GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or equivalent required
• ITIL Foundation certificate in ITSM desirable
• At least 12 years of IT experience with at least 7 years in security operations management, Security Operations Center and related supplier management
• Experience in working in a dynamic context within a managed services, multi-vendor and geographically-dispersed organizational environment
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams towards incident resolution and task completion
• Expertise in overseeing the implementation of security policies to technology platforms
• Experience driving measurable improvement in monitoring and response capabilities
• Experience governing the use of security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring (FIM) and other network and system monitoring tools
• Strong knowledge of information security operations best practices and methodologies
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Overview of aviation industry
• New threat awareness and security solutions (ongoing)
• Knowledge of common tools (like MS Office Suite, MS Project)
• Verbal and written communication, with ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of business and IT stakeholders at various organizational levels
