Working closely with the Managing Director, and reporting to the Head of Corporate Services your role will work across both strategic and operational HR. With 3 direct reports, you will be responsible for the overall people strategy, driving culture initiatives, recruitment, L&D and payroll.
To be successful in this role you will need to be agile and flexible, with the ability to work autonomously navigating your way through a variety of stakeholder relationships within a fast paced agency environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the people, recruitment, culture (incl. internal communications), L&D, payroll and admin within a team of approximately 50 staff
- Provide advice and support to people on all related enquiries
- Ensure policies and procedures meet legislative requirements for Australian Law and workplace best practices
- Ensure the onboarding program for people is up to date and best practice at all times
- Performance management and support and advise on best practice
- Provide quality advice, guidance and recommendations on a day to day basis including any legal related matters
- Implementation of organizational change including restructures
- People Value and Recognition Program management
- Lead L&D plan and training programs
- Ensure work health and safety is maintained for all people
- Manage Office Admin and IT Support
What you need to succeed
- At least 7 years’ experience in a senior HR generalist role
- Tertiary qualifications in HR is required
- Previous experience in creative agency will be highly advantageous
- Proven track record in coaching and influencing direct reports and business leaders
- Demonstrated success in delivering people advice and solutions that meet strategic and operational needs
- Superior organizational, communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills, advanced excel skills highly desirable
- A flexible approach to work
