DigitasLBi is growing rapidly in the UAE. This growth follows the appetite and maturity of clients in the region. Still trailing the UK and US in terms of digital maturity, it is important that DigitasLBi can support and lead clients digital growth from a strategic perspective in the same manner as would be expected in those areas. As such, the Strategy Director is a hands-on person who’s able to wear many hats and engage with clients and team members in a mature, yet very nimble way. At the highest level, the Strategy Director is expected to lead our clients and introduce them to new ideas and opportunities through with integrated account management, client revenue growth and client satisfaction as key targets and objectives. The main purpose of the role is to provide strategic consultancy and leadership which will support mutual success between clients and DigitasLBi by meeting client KPI’s, broadening the number of services across which we engage and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive growth for DigitasLBi. The Strategy Director is able to provide direction in relation to business strategy, creative strategy, customer strategy and social strategy. They can do this for all clients because he/she is knowledgeable about each client’s business as well as the overall technology/competitive landscape.
The Strategy Director role is a leadership role as well as a managerial one. This person sets the working style for the department and is directly responsible for all strategic activity in the region even when fulfilled by colleagues from other offices. This role is will collaborate with the new business director on all required biz dev services, client contracts as well as the management of account profitability, new business development, and team growth. The successful candidate will be able to cultivate client relationships at the most senior levels while contributing to the leadership of the MENA business and growing the media service offering.
The Strategy Director is responsible for shaping MENA’s strategy offering and hiring the right candidates to support it when required. Our regional offering is expected to grow in line with DigitasLBi’s global strategy services offering, including new disciplines as they emerge (e.g. social). The Strategy Director is a member of the leadership team and is expected to support the growth of the business through new business meetings, pitches, PR and speaking events, and general leadership.
In short, the role requires the Strategy Director to be a leader within DigitasLBi and a trusted partner to our clients.

Qualifications and Experience:
- The Strategy Director role is a senior hire with ideally 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role and deep experience in more than one service line.
- Proven leadership and communication abilities, gravitas to lead C-level clients
- Strong client service track record
- A strong background in people management within the agency environment
- Experience in online marketing and current knowledge of trends and innovations in interactive media, including mobile
- Expert level knowledge in at least two of the following five disciplines – Social strategy, business strategy, creative strategy, brand strategy, content strategy
- Ability to discuss multiple industry verticals in details (verticals could include: telco, finance, retail, utilities, government, etc)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong business development & sales skills
- Strong written, verbal & presentation skills
- Strong commercial acumen & ability to understand a client’s business needs
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage several simultaneous projects
- A passion for digital marketing
