We at Al Tayer Group are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst – Hyperion for our Business Systems team in IT to design business information systems and incorporate technical systems to improve business processes efficiency and effectiveness by maintaining partnership between business needs and technology delivery by providing support in project management, design, testing and training.
Job Purpose
To design business information systems (Hyperion) and incorporate new technical systems to improve business processes efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain partnership between business needs and technology delivery by providing support in project management, design, testing and training
Job Skills
1. Degree in Computer Science
2. 2 to 3 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in the IT field
3. 5 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 8 years in the IT field (for Senior Positons)
4. Knowledge of system analysis (Hyperion) and support gained through formal training or work experience
5. Exposure in the use of relevant platforms / tools for the development and execution of the projects handled
6. High technical acumen
7. Good communication and interpersonal skill
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify the needs of the business and propose technologically relevant systems to support and enhance business operations. Ensure systems solutions provided are in line with current and expected business requirements.
2. Act as an interface between business units, technology teams, support teams and third party vendors and effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements.
3. Coordinate the development and implementation of business systems with the Development and IT service delivery teams or third party vendors, to ensure smooth implementation and usage.
4. Understand technical designs as well as the specifications; design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts
5. Follow Company defined methods, processes and techniques for project management, business case development and definition of user requirements.
6. Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met
7. Monitor and evaluate the impact of business systems on operational efficiencies and work on opportunities to revamp, upgrade the systems to align with dynamic business requirements.
8. Conduct periodic quality checks and encourage feedback from business operations to ascertain successful functioning of business systems. Keep abreast of user issues and highlight key issues to the development team for requisite enhancements.
