Job description

Client/ Supplier Focus

To provide high standard and quality service to our clients in understanding their requirements and needs

Modifies relationships with key clients / suppliers to ensure the smoothest running of operations

Business Knowledge

  • Demonstrate ability to use and engage in Business Knowledge conversations to create actionable outcomes
  • Critiques consumer insights before they are shared with the client
  • Critiques market insights before they are shared with the client
  • Critiques brand insights before they are shared with the client 

Media Knowledge

Accountable for being at the forefront of media knowledge, best practices, category learnings and using them to foster deeper conversations on business/brand understanding

Innovation

The ability to think creatively and turn thoughts into actionable ideas.

Responsible for creating an environment that nurtures creativity to deliver on pre-set objectives/targets

Accountable for packaging creative ideas and putting together compelling stories

Trading

Meet periodically with head of buying to discuss improving profitability options

Accountable for the inputting and aligning with trading on the monthly/quarterly of FPP

Account Management

  • The ability to understand and manage elements of the account
  • Ensures aging is within contractual agreements - Follow up with finance
  • Responsible for making sure all invoices both online and offline are dispatched within the guidelines i.e. TV 20th of second month 95%, print and outdoor 60% by end of the following month, digital, radio, cinema
  • Responsible for setting: Media KPI's, Brand KPI's and Business KPI's with the client set at the beginning of the year. Ensure that these are tracked at the end of each campaign to identify that they are on target
  • Responsible for creating new business opportunities
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges on the account ensuring the overall well-being of the client and the team
  • Accountable for improving, changing or developing processes for greater efficiency when required 

Communication

  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to communicate in business English in both written and verbal format
  • Master of presenting in front of all audiences
  • Mentor their team to elevate their presentation skills
  • Able to critique teams presentation to better the product; prior to delivery to tweak or enhance storytelling techniques 

Tools

Able to use Planning tools, Buying tools, Finance tools and Word with the aim to eventually draw insights and build strategies:

Can use all tools including: research, planning, finance and MS tools if required

Responsible to fine tune strategy

Vision Fluency

Able to orchestrate an entire pitch team and coordinate between company functions/SBUs to extract best value

Ensure that Vision is used correctly during AOP and Pitches to enhance and unify the OMD product

Talent Development/Coaching

  • Act as a role model. Be transparent about your own need to learn and develop and share how you’re able to do it. Embrace vulnerability: leaders are never more powerful than when they are shown to be learning.
  • Reinforce the value of learning. Go beyond the baseline conversation about goals. Ask about what they want to accomplish and what they feel their gaps are. Desired Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years media specific experience and 6 years people management
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Employee should be Google Certified (through Google Certified Professional program); needs to of completed within 6 months of joining if new employee
  • Successfully completed the Digital Transformation Workshop; needs to of completed within 6 months of joining if new employee
  • Creativity in thinking
  • Human resource knowledge and team building Skills
  • Solid background in qualitative and quantitative planning marketing research and its application for brand building and marketing initiatives
  • Project management skills and abilities
  • Computer proficient in MS Office and relevant internet applications
