Job Opening for Category Team Lead Corporate with Seadrill

Job description

The Corporate Category Lead

is responsible for identifying and implementing category and strategic sourcing strategies that ensure the organization obtains the best value based on total cost of ownership principles.

Always seeking opportunities that drive continuous supply chain improvements, this role will be engaged in identifying the effective suppliers partnerships that support our organizations development of a “best in class” supply chain.

Reporting to the Corporate Strategic Sourcing Manager, this role will work autonomously to identify and execute sourcing strategies that will support the organizational vision and strategic direction.

1.2 QHSE

Responsible for/ensure:

Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct

Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirementsCompliance with Seadrill
training, certification and competence requirements

Non-compliances to Corporate policies are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisorAll relevant governing documents are revised as and when required

Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required are performGood and clear communications with all involved parties

1.3 JOB SPECIFIC

Responsible for/ensure:

Implementation of a category management strategy that delivers recognizable cost savings and process optimization through improved supplier management programs

Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including
end-users, project managers, engineers, and senior staff members

Work closely with Regional Supply Chain Management teams, Technical teams, Finance, A/P teams,

Legal, and Operations team to identify synergies and cost savings opportunitiesNegotiate or re-negotiate existing contracts, utilizing transparent tender processes, ensuring optimal commercial and legal terms are in place and AVL process followedReviewing spending trends of

Direct and In-Direct spend and pro-actively develop category strategies to leverage optimal pricing and termsMentor colleagues with problem resolution and guidance to ensure team goals and target KPI’s are met or exceeded.Monitor Global market trends, identify opportunities and potential issues and act upon them Implement formalized

Supplier Relationship Management and Performance programs

Support the development of policies and procedures that ensure spend is addressed systematically to obtain optimal value and transparency

Ensure transparency of all active Global MSA’s via the corporate contract repository tool

Effectively executes change management processes when new suppliers introducedActively participate in projects or process optimization initiatives offering suggestions or constructive feedback that will improve outcome

Assist in development of Global SCM process and procedures as required

Coordinate and lead supplier meetings as required Ensure all actions are in accordance with Seadrill’s corporate policies and procedures

1.4 EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS

Responsible for/ensure:

Contract Repository is properly maintained to provide greatest level of access to global organizationProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced levelCollaborate with Catalog

Manager to ensure most updated and accurate pricing is uploaded in the ERP systemEnsure most accurate contract data is made available to Management and StakeholdersMaintain all Tender
documents

As per Corporate and
Regional specific Delegation of Authority matrices

1.6 QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field required 5+ years with proven Strategic Sourcing or Category management experience
