AMEC Foster Wheeler has an opportunity for Electrical Commissioning Team Lead to join in Abu Dhabi. This position will initially be based at the client’s office in Abu Dhabi for a few months before moving to Offshore Project.

Principal Accountabilities                                  

• Demonstrate personal HSE leadership and excellent HSE behaviors at all times, and act as a safety leader through all work and activities, setting and exhibiting the highest standards
• Support Fabrication Site Lead to oversee contractor's pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and plans
• Ensure that commissioning plans are adequate to comply with the overall project strategy to maximize pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in the fabrication yard
• Ensure that all check sheets are correctly populated, documented and achieved Ready for Load Out status in PetroPCS
• Validate System Completion Plans to meet the intent of project specifications
• Provide day to day leadership to commissioning team to ensure that all tests and work practices related to energized testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are being executed safely, and ensuring PTW and LOTO requirements are met
• May also be responsible for multiple fabrication yards in a close geographic area depending on contractor’s execution plans
• Review and approve contractor’s detailed method statements, procedures, and plans for execution of systems completions activities
• Identify and raise systems completions issues at an early state to ensure that problems can be rectified early with little or no impact on overall project execution schedule
• Participate in construction, pre-commissioning, and pre-load out walk downs and punch listing
• Ensure that pre-commissioning and commissioning tests and checks are properly witnessed by company personnel and any deficiencies found identified and corrected; accountable for pre­ commissioning and commissioning test approvals or rejections
• Support preservation activities following completion of pre-commissioning and commissioning to ensure that modules are adequately preserved prior to load out
• Prepare commissioning status reports and participate in regular commissioning updates with EPC-2 Commissioning Manager and UZ750 Commissioning Manager
• Support contractor to develop realistic pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules and track progress
• Elevate commissioning issues to Commissioning Manager when necessary
• Follow the project through to handover, including supporting all offshore commissioning activities
