Opportunity for Media Director with Middle East Communications Network

Job description

  • Responsible for the day to day workings of the client team offering support, training and insight to team members
  • Understands clients overall business and marketing objectives displaying a sound knowledge of all media, including TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor and Online, working efficiently as part of an overall integrated team
  • Full understanding of all Clients marketing strategies and objectives
  • Control of major media strategy and media objectives
  • Quality control of all written media evaluations, recommendations and presentations to Clients
  • Primary lead in all new business pitches
  • Pro-actively seek creative media opportunities appropriate to specific clients
  • Provide media opinion on behalf of the agency
  • Remains up-to-date on industry research and drives development in this area training key members of staff and acting as a knowledge hub to team members
  • Ensure media research and analysis is correctly used in the team and look at new ways of using and developing emerging trends and technologies
  • Build a strong profile in the industry for the client group and the agency
  • Involved in all major Client negotiations with the media together with Buying Director
  • Manage a staff of media professionals.  Develop the staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback.  Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and help them to work toward their professional goals.
  • Manage human resource administration, which includes:  maintaining staff levels through effective recruiting, salary administration, performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared
  • Ensure all Client budgets are being controlled
  • Responsible for the professionalism and performance of their team
  • Responsible for the structure of the team to ensure its smooth operation
  • Ensure the team maintains a good relationship with all clients, media owners and other departments
  • Recognizes and provides training for the team to improve professionalism and keep young talent in the company
  • Advise on resources needed within the team
  • Ensure best practices flow between offices
  • Lead best practices presentations internally with office
  • Contributes to innovation and idea generation
  • Sets and lead New Business plans
  • Full accountability of Business unit profitability and financial analysis
  • Set plans increasing profitability on both an account and agency level.
  • Intelligence monitoring including Store visits
  • Engage with the company and contribute with ideas on company and client level.
  • Exposure and contribution to Digital Media planning
