Opening for Solution Archtect - OSS consultant with Cisco

The Cloud and IT Transformation (CITT) Center of Excellence (CoE) brings together the OSS/BSS, Data Center, and Intelligent Network Infrastructure and Routing and Switching professional services’ teams. This transformation expands our professional services capabilities in support of unified infrastructure, provides the platforms that help customers adopt network-virtualization and cloud architectures, and accelerates our software integration, application platforms, analytics, and ITSM services. This CoE is well positioned to achieve a number of objectives:
• The ability to assist customers with adopting network virtualization technologies (SDN, NFV, and ACI) in the data center and campus, without the need for multiple service interactions
• The capability to move "up the stack" with focus on the applications while accelerating software integration, analytics and holistic migration capabilities
• The opportunity to drive adoption of Cisco's advanced features and capabilities across adjacent domains within a customer IT organization that demonstrates the comprehensive Cisco value proposition

The Team
The Software Integration & Orchestration team within CITT COE aligns the software capabilities from Orchestration team and the OSS/BSS teams to deliver SW deployment and custom integration services to help customers transform their orchestration, management and operations capabilities.
Here, you'll be designing, implementing, and empowering Cisco’s fastest growing cloud and virtualized service line. You'll collaborate as part of a disruptive software team that is passionate about transforming the world and bringing an end-to-end business outcome to our customers.

Role & Responsibilities
In this highly visible role as a Solution Architect /Senior Network Consulting Engineer you will be driving Service Delivery focused on delivering NMS and OSS design, implementation and consulting services to our EMEAR based Service Provider and Enterprise customers.
The role includes consulting with key Service Provider and Enterprise customers across processes, tools and integration in the OSS area as well as providing delivery services related to network management and operations.
The candidate will be expected to work at customer premises and Cisco offices throughout EMEAR. Willingness to travel required. The right candidate:
● Supports delivery of service program to major Service Provider accounts or large enterprise/public accounts.
● Performs analysis and diagnosis of complex and highly complex NMS/OSS or integration problems
● Will be technically skilled in NMS / OSS technologies and will be involved, in varying degrees of scale, complexity and duration in all of the following phases in a customer facing delivery project: solution design; deployment and migration; auditing/sizing; performance engineering and optimization; knowledge transfer and mentoring.
● Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve complex problems and compatibility issues.
● Generates reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer deliverables.
● Leverages and contributes to Virtual Teams
● Supports pre-sales activities.
● Where appropriate, supervises and mentors partner delivery teams and less experienced engineers

Minimum Qualifications
● Requires BS, CS, University degree or equivalent industry experience and at least 8 years experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment
● Excellent written and verbal communication, in particular possessing ability to describe technical solution features and use to the target audience.
● Large-scale NMS/OSS design skills and Expert level troubleshooting in a large scale network & NMS/OSS environments
● Knowledge of Cisco network management products from a broad perspective with a deep understanding of one or more specific network management products such as
• Cisco Service Control Engine
• Cisco Prime Infrastructure, LMS, NAM
• Cisco Prime Network Registrar
• Cisco Prime Access Registrar
• Cisco Prime Address Management
• Cisco Prime Collaboration
• Cisco SP Wifi Manager
• Cisco Prime Carrier Management (Prime Network, Performance, Optical, Provisioning, Central)
● Good Understanding of network operational models such as NGOSS (eTOM, TAM, SID, TNA), ITIL, and FCAPS
● Good networking skills (CCNP level and higher), AAA and radius
● Relational databases experience
● Skills in script development experience with one or more of Perl, Tcl, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and Unix Shell and CGI-Bin
● Deep understanding of protocols employed in management of IP networks such as SNMP, Syslog, Telnet/SSH, XML, HTTP and Application Programmatic Interfaces (API) such as REST, Java, JavaScript, and XML
● SDN, NFV experience
● Orchestration experience
● Good Understanding of network application development environments such as C, C++, Java and particularly an understanding of object oriented development

Desired Skills
● Tail-f, netconf, YANG
● Strong understanding of deep packet inspection, subscriber management and policy management to provide solutions to Service Providers using mobile network and management technologies
● A good understanding of WiFI technology, hotspot management and subscriber management
● Experience in the area of RAN Transport (IP-RAN: Radio Access Network) to be able to support NMS/OSS implementations in that specific area
