Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) is responsible for providing ground handling services at Hamad International Airport for Qatar Airways and a host of other airlines serving HIA. This covers everything from porters to baggage handlers/loaders, aircraft cleaners to equipment operators, and drivers to customer service agents.
About Your Job:
You will be primarily responsible to monitor and analyze safety practices in Ground Handling and Ramp operations to ensure safety awareness is a top priority to all staff and to constantly improve safety standards. Active involvement in the development and delivery of regulatory checks on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis both within QAS and Group entiities and other entities including other arilines will enhance the integration of a safety culture throughout the Qatar Airways Group.
The data gathered from regular checks will be compiled, analyzed and summarized to identify trends and presented to several management levels.
You will be required to identify and report on any safety related incident/accidents immediately to the management and follow up any safety related investigations and use initiative to determine the root cause in order to ensure no re-occurrence. Interpret a range of documented regulatory and Company directives as well as verbal instructions for Safety Investigation purposes and provide information by relevant methods internally / externally and enable department operations and effective service across the network. To provide support and assistance to the Safety Manager of ongoing Safety related concerns.

About You:
- You should be a Graduate from a recognized university with at least 3 years experience in a similar environment. Aviation experience in particular in Ramp operations with GSE extensive knowledge will be an advantage.
- You will be be computer literate with in MS Office applications and have well-developed interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication. The ability to construct safety briefings / campaigns and deliver safety training programmes in a medium to large corporate organization is an advantage. Good understanding of equal employment opportunity of custom and practices with good knowledge of working languages in DOH is also considered an advantage.
