The position of HR Business Partner / Leader requires deep insight into the business in order to seamlessly apply your capabilities across HR and to add value to the business. While acting as the face of HR to the management team you will also need to provide strategic HR support to them. The HR Business Partner identifies and drives HR initiatives in support of HR and the organization and will provide guidance to line managers and cross-function business units, which requires this role to leverage the entire HR community, their own HR Manager, the regional HR teams and the functional HR teams. The HR Business Partner will also be a key stakeholder in addressing skills gaps and compensation with business unit leaders, managing individual executive issues personally and identifying business unit and IBM organisational needs.

The successful professional will:

  • Provide advice and counsel on multiple initiatives and recommending solutions to complex employee relations and HR issues
  • Liaise closely with other functions such as Finance, Legal, Marketing, Graduate Programs and communications etc. to enable a comprehensive view of workforce strategy
  • Provide business perspective and guidance to other HR functions that deploy and execute HR programs (such as compensation, benefits, workforce diversity) and regional HR Partners
  • Lead the administration, communication and implementation of HR programs, policies and activities with assigned business groups
  • Resolve employee relations issues
  • Advise managers and employees on complex aspects of HR related initiatives, programs, policies, procedures and HR systems, and tools including but not limited to performance and talent management, workforce planning and annual compensation processes
  • Advise managers on employee relations aspects, ensuring legal compliance of practices by monitoring and implementing applicable government requirements and local policies i.e. labour agreement
  • In conjunction with International Human Resources, support business on queries related to international hires and global mobility
  • Supports internal/external contacts as needed with work and non-work related short and long term management claims
  • Produce complex regular and ad-hoc reports/metrics to support client groups
  • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Advise on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
  • Proactively address business issues including determining appropriate hiring strategies, recommending solutions based on workforce analytics, identifying and addressing skill gaps

Required Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience implementing HR programs, policies and strategies
  • At least 5 years’ experience in applying Human Resources Generalist/Partner knowledge in a multinational, corporate environment
  • At least 5 years proven expertise working and consulting with senior executives
  • Minimum 2 years with a technology company
  • English language: Fluent
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Human Resources Certification

  • Expert level analytical and consulting skills
  • Expert level skills and expertise in organizational development, employee relations, problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Advanced communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Capability to handle confidential matters in a discreet manner
  • Expert level decision making
  • Knowledge of Middle East labour law
  • Preferred Professional Experience
  • 15 years’ experience working and consulting with Senior Executives in an HR capacity
  • Master's Degree
