Job opportunity for Technology Manager - Digital Operations with Etihad Airways

We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Technology & Innovation function at a Senior Manager level for Technology Manager responsible for managing the Digital Operations for the Commerce platforms. This role will manage 3rd part suppliers, ensure project governance is followed, Architecture standards are implemented, and maintain a 24 * 7 * 365 operational support of the commerce platforms. This role will also manage a 3rd party to deliver Projects and Programmes to deliver web based technologies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cascade and monitor the adoption of the IT strategy to ensure consistency of operational departments with division and Company’s objectives
• Review and approve projects plan to ensure timely and on budget delivery of projects
• Develop business cases and plans for major/strategic initiatives to ensure costs, benefits and details are accurately communicated to top management
• Plan and cascade priorities for the assigned department to maximize performance and achievement of objectives
• Plan and direct the implementation of application systems and infrastructures to ensure timely and on budget delivery
• Contribute to the formulation of the IT strategy and business plan to ensure alignment with available resources, business needs and Company’s objectives
• Review, monitor and communicate status of major initiatives to ensure alignment of all relevant stakeholders
• Define guidelines and provide recommendations on IT assets and data to minimize risks of data loss or external intrusions
• Monitor and report on the benefit/value generated by system enhancement/implementation initiatives to ensure it is accurately communicated and perceived by business stakeholders
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to timely identify major/strategic needs and take action
• Provide advise and recommendations on IT solutions, best practices and market trends to support the adoption of innovative and reliable solutions
• Highlight to top management department results and improvement initiatives to support the continuous development of IT capabilities
• Lead internal improvement initiatives to support the development of the IT department 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

Define and cascade the Function/Department strategy to ensure the alignment with Etihad's strategy
Policies and Procedures

Participate in the development and implementation of policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/ regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled

Budget

Contribute to the preparation of the Function/Department budget to ensure alignment with the approved set budget

People Development

Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate performance

Safety, Quality & Environment

Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Bachelor Degree from a university
• Minimum of 10 years experience in relevant field, of which 3 in a managerial role in a corporate multinational organization.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile
• An understanding of SDLC
• Must have Implemented Adobe AEM in an Enterprise environment
• Proven experience in managing 3rd party Suppliers and holding them accountable for delivery
• Excellent Communications and Stakeholder management
• A track record of delivering high profile projects in a fast moving environment
• A proven track record of delivering Web based technologies
