Aggreko Middle East is hiring Design Engineer

Purpose of the Job

Preparation of project specific designs and supporting technical documentation for inclusion in Sales bids and Operational projects.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of Project Design Pack documentation for inclusion in sales proposals.
• Compilation of schematic and layout drawings using CAD.
• Liaise with client’s technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify project needs.
• Advise Sales team on project specific design issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Design power packages to suit project needs and maximize use of Aggreko fleet products.
• Design and specification of specialist electrical equipment in conjunction with the Product team in Jebel Ali
• Gives engineering assistance as required to Operational Projects.
• Design, specification and practical use of controls associated equipment; SCADA, etc.
• Carry out on-site engineering reviews.
• Specification and procurement of engineering equipment.
• Displays a commitment to Orange Excellence initiatives

• Person Specification/Job Requirements
• Graduate Electrical Engineer
• Minimum of 3 years design experience in an electrical power systems business.
• Fluent in English, a second language would be an advantage.
• Available to travel on a global basis.

Desired Skills

• A good communicator, both written and oral.
• Strong computer design skills.
• ECAD Designing experience
• Ability to design and draft single line/multi line diagrams.
