Opening for Senior Marketing Executive with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Marketing Executive is responsible for planning and executing strategies and marketing plans for the brands within the assigned budget as well as exploring and proposing new marketing tools based on brand guidelines, image and strategies with the aim of maximizing Brand awareness and increasing sales.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develops and implements creative marketing strategies that will make an impact, support the Brand and help increase sales, gross margins and market share targets.
• Manages the day to day marketing activities for the assigned portfolio including events, PR…
• Plans, delivers and monitors events to ensure that Brand presence is maximized and strategic objectives are met. This includes budgeting, briefing agencies, following up with the suppliers, and securing approval from the principals, while ensuring full adherence to Brands guidelines.
• Manages the production of marketing materials required for brands’ events. This can involve stickers, banners, invitation cards, gifts and press packs.
• Works in collaboration with the Retail and Brand Management team to produce and implement innovative and cost effective promotions across all channels (mainly for Fashion Brands).
• Liaises and maintains relationships with existing marketing suppliers; researches and identifies new ones.
• Contributes and develops marketing plans and strategies for fashion brands and manages their respective marketing budgets.
• Coordinates with PR agencies to ensure maximum coverage and qualitative interviews provided for the brands.
• Monitors all PR related articles of the group.
• Carries out market research to assess media positioning in the market.
• Builds and maintains contacts with the media.
• Assists in managing media plans, and liaising with the agency whenever needed.
• Researches new advertising opportunities in the press and other forms such as radio, cinema etc. for the Fashion Brands.
• Liaises with Brand Managers for all related PR activities for the brands, including images, new releases, prices etc.
• Develops strategic relations to secure sponsorship of events that would be aligned with the marketing plan and image of specific fashion brands.
• Manages photo shoot opportunities in magazines whenever requested by the publications.
• Conducts research to identify key market opportunities and threats and proposes necessary tactics to address them.

 COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The jobholder operated under the general guidance of the Corporate Director. Existence of social and digital information and knowledge is key in this position.

 Internal

• VP Marketing.
• Marketing team.
• Frequent interaction with the brand management team, Visual Merchandising team, logistics, sales & retail
• Infrequent interaction with the finance team and legal

 External

• PR, digital and social media agencies.
• Vendors related to events and gift suppliers.
• Stylists, Bloggers, Artist, Designers, Socialites, VIP clients etc.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business/ Marketing/ Visual communication / Mass Communication.

 Minimum Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
