About the Position:
The role is responsible for the management and direction of the Commercial Management Services Department in successfully delivering an identified programme of works for a multi-use real estate development on time and within budget, in accordance with Group Policies, to ensure efficient use of investment funds in asset creation, development and handover to end users. The financial scope of the role is to manage cost and budget control of programme of work in one location in excess of US$ 3 Billion. This role requires someone with experience in managing pre and post contract Quantity Surveying Services including, without limitation, cost estimating, monthly accounts, review of cost and budget forecasts, quantum analysis of claims and variation submissions, and final account settlement.
The responsibilities will cover operations, asset and risk and change management. The incumbent will report to the Director of Centralized Commercial Management & Procurement and will directly manage a team of 5 people and indirectly lead 26 people.
About You:
We are looking for an Egyptian national with ideally 20 years plus experience in a senior commercial position in within the real estate development sector.
By commercial we do not mean sales, we are referrring to someone with experience in managing pre and post contract Quantity Surveying Services including, without limitation, cost estimating, monthly accounts, review of cost and budget forecasts, quantum analysis of claims and variation submissions, and final account settlement
Someone professionally qualified (MRICS, MCIOB) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying or equivalent will be preferred.
