Opening for Associate Partner with IBM

Job description

As a Associate Partner, you will be expected to guide your team in helping clients to formulate and execute corporate strategies that address current and potential business opportunities and challenges and drive the realization of business value. You must have extensive experience (15-20 years) of using in-depth consulting skills and business knowledge to:

* Align business objectives,
* Define and refine business processes, business measurements and business tools
* Analyze client business issues, formulate practical hypotheses, test conclusions and determine appropriate solutions to your clients business challenges.
* Convert strategy into operational models and business architectures demonstrated by the ability to develop operating strategies and models to enable implementation of business strategy.
* Align business strategy and operating models to IT strategy.

You will take the role of the engagement partner for projects, working with IBM global Telco Industry Leaders to build new solutions and promote those solutions globally. Whilst building up your Telco team with GBS (Global Business Services) you will develop new Telco business and serve as our strategic accounts manager. You will be expected to have knowledge of and experience in the preparation of business cases, creation of business models and the supporting strategic value realization cases for change and the process of converting strategy into operational models and business architectures.

Prior experience in the creation of business architectures and the underlying growth strategies in a growth market will be preferred.

You will be working in a client-facing environment, and will be expected to engage clients and account manage with a particular focus on C-level executives. These engagements will include:

* The leadership and delivery of strategic client projects
* The provision of Telco subject matter expertise which results in good ongoing relationships with clients that are strategic for IBM
* The provision of strategy expertise to clients engaged by other areas within IBM (Software, Hardware, etc.)

Other skills required

* Leadership competencies including ability to provide clear credible vision for the future, change leadership capabilities, ability to inspire people, takes charge, minimises intimidation and threat and conflict management capabilities

* Excellent consultancy and presentation skills – including ability to story board and present to C-level
* Ability to identify IT Requirements from business needs
* Able to determine and advise clients on business value – using IT to transform/create value
