Job description

Job Purpose:

Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating, behavioural analysis and modelling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes. An analyst capable of the entire process from creating and querying the database using SQL, validating the data using Excel, and finally converting it into easily understood graphs and tables that can be presented to non-technical people.

The Role

Analysis and Reporting:

Build and support reusable data analysis structures within the technical environment; enabling self-service analytical capability for key technical stakeholders
Extract large and unstructured datasets from multiple platforms, cleansing the data to make it fit for purpose
Manipulate and transform the data, categorizing it, and performing analysis to highlight trends and insights
Drawing insight from the data, translating into strategy and feeding into the right teams
To work in close collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams to facilitate data preparation and reporting integration

Database Administration

Data Selection: Selection and exporting each marketing segment that currently exists within our CRM (Salesforce) and other databases
Data formatting and uploading: To remove any error, typos and mapping fields in order to update or upload new data from various sources in Salesforce.
Deduplication: Working through various mechanisms in order to eliminate duplication within existing data and/or for new data upload.
Data integrity: Clean and update data all the time in order to maintain data integrity in the system, this may include updating contact information, inactive contacts, mail returns etc.

Data automation

Write procedures in order to reduce the time for same kind of data requests.
Develop efficient workflow and work processes
Whenever required , writing queries, triggers, stored procedures, views etc.


Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Programming (Mandatory)

Minimum Experience:

Highly numerate, precise and meticulous when working with data. Minimum 3 years experience of dealing with big data.

Job-Specific Skills:

Database/Programming: SQL Server, SQL/TSQL, stored procedures, MS Access (advance level)
Office: MS Excel (advance level)
CRM: Salesforce admin level skills (Desirable) – internal admin training will be given.
BI: Experience of BI and any analytical tool (Desirable)

Other Skills: Ability to analyse trends, identify problems and deliver corrective actions, Experience of managing a high volume of transactions. Knowledge and working experience of complex data extraction, transformation, and data loading techniques
