Opening for Digital Communications Controller (UX) with Emirates

Job description

To support the businesses and brands in implementing and maintaining an effective Digital Communications strategy. To work as part of the Digital Communications Unit, with internal Corporate Communications units and suppliers on ensuring work is produced strictly to brief and in line with the corporate strategy.

Job Outline:

Brand Management

To work with Specialist teams to develop, build, and update the Group web sites. To scope and implement integration of new initiatives and new systems into existing sites based on EGIT standards and international best practice. To carry out the content management processes of the Group's web environment to ensure consistency across the group.

To implement the Group's digital technology strategy, ensuring that the digital solutions are on-brand, cost effective and are aligned with the objectives of CC's business clients. This includes the control of display advertising, search, email and affiliate marketing.

Corporate Identity

In conjunction with Specialist team and VP Shared Services assist with the management and monitoring of the brand strategy across all online customers touch points including the implementation and evolution of brand and advertising guidelines, agency partnerships, quality assurance of brand usage of all online media outlets.

Managing Cost Effective & Creative Advertising Resources

To provide a regular contact point for agencies involved in digital communications across the world. To supply agencies with tools, materials, templates, creative and case studies in order to develop world class online advertising within specified timelines and budgetary constraints. To assist DCMs with the constant re-evaluation of activity to ensure ROI with all digital activity.

Integrated Communications

To ensure synergy and consistency of Emirates Group image and strategy across all communication disciplines. To encourage the integration of advertising campaigns across client brands to enhance the impact, cohesion and cost-effectiveness of communication. Work closely with all areas of CC to ensure opportunities are maximised .

Online champion

To work collaboratively with Account and Specialist teams to drive use of online media channels amongst a designated brand or regional cluster. Work with Digital Communications Managers to implement an ongoing training programme for the stakeholders, to assist the increase of digital knowledge and confidence with management of online activities throughout the department.

Project Management and Cost control

To quality control all online content and advertising presented to the Group. To ensure that the brief has been fulfilled, to the companies agreed visual standard This applies to the strategy, visual and copy content of the advertising or online presence. To exercise cost control over creative, production and media costs, ensuring all costs are interrogated and that suppliers deliver good value for money.

Virtual Agency & EmPower

Play an active part in developing the dept. website - www.emirates-empower.com - to ensure we tap into world class agency resources at competitive prices. To use EmPower and other tools to evaluate and measure advertising agency performance on a regular annual basis, in order to optimise effectiveness of Emirates' advertising across the network. To suggest new procedures, champion agency usage of the site, trouble shoot bugs, add new layers and functionality as appropriate.

Online advertising effectiveness

Review all online advertising effectiveness studies, in conjunction with other internal CC teams, the Business units and interactive agencies in order to build knowledge of best practice and support DCMs in ongoing Return on Investment discussions and presentations.

Media Planning

Support DCMs in improving the quality of online media planning and buying both internationally and locally throughout the network across the Group. To support the Advertising Specialist teams with digital activation of their media plans for EK markets and all Group brands.

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

  • Marketing & Media Communication.Internet Communications 5+ Years
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience as an Account Manager in an international interactive agency managing online or integrated marketing activities.
  • Expertise in production of quality Online development, understanding of different programming languages and how they affect web build as well as the user experience, experience of content management systems and campaign tools.
