Opening for Technical Specialist - CITRIX with Microland Limited

Job description

  • Responsible for implementation of client’s virtual infrastructure systems such as Citrix XenDesktop 5.0, XenApp 5.0, XenServer 4.0. Client implementation process will include design, software configuration, analysis, deployment, and testing
  • Provide post sales service delivery in terms of assessment, architecture, design, implementation,migration, recommendations, upgrades and technical documentation
  • Act as Systems Administrator for Managed Services client base by providing remote technical assistance and management of client?s infrastructure systems as required.
  • Responsible for incident reporting and change management processes
  • Working experience on Citrix product (XenApp 5.0 or greater, XenServer 4.0 or greater, XenDesktop 5.0 or greater, Netscalar load balancer),
  • VMWare, Hyper-V, Strong understanding of SAN technologies
  • MS Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 (AD,DNS,DHCP, ,Permissions, CA, GP)
  • All versions of Windows desktop OS
  • Understanding of IP4 subnets, routing, subnet masks and VLAN?s
  • Proactive monitoring and administration :Know-hows to create/modify/manage alerts for new/existing servers with a basic knowledge on the working technology, basic troubleshooting knowledge along with know-hows of scripting to automate certain monitoring tasks.
  • Hardware and Networking: Knowledge on Server Hardware - Multiple Vendors, Remote Management Tools, Software & Hardware Raid, Technical understanding on network topologies & devices.

Windows Administration: Working knowledge on multiple Windows OS platforms, OS configuration on different roles - Domain, WINS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, WSUS - configuration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of - Disk & Storage, File & Print Server Management, Terminal Services, RAID Administration, NTFS Permissions and troubleshooting issues related to the above applications.

Clustering: Clear Clustering fundamentals, knowing the difference between NLB and Clusters.

Active Directory: Working knowledge on AD Users and Group administration, FSMO Roles, Site & Subnets. Technical understanding of FRS Configuration/ Troubleshooting

Global Catalogue Server, AD Group Policy. Technical understanding of AD tools and resource kit tools, Software, service pack installation.

Virtualization: Working knowledge on Virtualization, commissioning of new guests, add/remove hardware or increase the disk space etc., different High Availability options available, failover and failback, patching of hosts and guests along with running reports along with advance troubleshooting using the available log files/debugging mode.

Backup: Working knowledge on Setup and Configuration of native & Working knowledge on 3rd party backup management tools & troubleshooting. Define Policy, Backup Pool, Retention.

Knowledge on difference between Master & Media Server, Technical understanding of backup and restore type - exchange backup files/System State Backup / File-Folders backup.

Antivirus: Working knowledge of antivirus management tools, Virus definitions/signature update, etc. Knowledge about Virus, spam, Trojans, spyware, etc. Setup and Configuration.

Storage :Ability to explain storage architecture and connectivity options. Knowledge of different storage protocols such as ISCSI, FC, SCSI, CIFS, NFS etc., Knowledge of RAIDS, Knowledge of Reboot process of Storage Arrays
