Opening for Key Account Manager with Shell

Job description

To achieve the assigned commercial fuels Volume and C3 targets ensuring adherence to HSSE and Shell SGBP principles

  • Deliver Commercial Fuels business targets as agreed in the business plan for the segment
  • Set and manage sales plan to deliver business targets
  • Develop, update and implement the Account Plan for key customers and communicate the Account Plan to all service providers serving the key account
  • Develop new opportunities with prospective direct customers to acquire new business independently
  • Understand the activity, business and needs of customers, provide sound information and advice on products and services, and to sell and negotiate win-win solutions
  • Closely monitor tender opportunities for both private and state sectors
  • Actively drive new business growth through effective pipeline management
  • Maintain strong cross-functional interfaces with Credit, Transport, Trading desks, Supply and Distribution

In a market where subsidies are rampant, prospect new customers, assess their needs and win them over through a value proposition beyond price

Efficient and effective use of Sales 1 st tools to drive business results

Work through strong relationships with other functions within Shell, local depots and customers.

Ensure sustainable development by exploring and developing new business opportunities

Be externally focused in order to be aware of and take advantage of developing trends/opportunities.

Implement CVPs effectively to drive business growth

Ensure adherence to legal requirements, SGBP, HSSE and D&I standards.

Requirements

  • Masters degree holder in business, marketing or related discipline is preferred 
  • Prior sales experience, preferably in related industry, would be an advantage 
  • Team player with strong selling, negotiation and relationship management skills 
  • Good written and oral communication and presentation skills
