Responsibilities:
- Oversees and organizes production elements of the newscast.
- Generates copy including teases and bumps.
- Works closely with News Director, Anchor and editors to maximize daily resources and appropriately reflect the news of the day.
- Works in the control room during the live newscast and communicates with the production staff.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- TV news experience preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate a passion for news. This includes monitoring competitive newscasts, and follow social media daily.
- Suggest story ideas daily
- Familiarity with Final Cut X and videography skills is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills needed
- Leadership ability, positive attitude and creativity a must.
