We are looking for a Business analyst in our great office at Dubai, UAE

As a Business analyst you share a continuous focus on growth with the business leaders and will be co-responsible for building out the OLX/dubizzle brand.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?

• You will be the spider in the web of many functional areas and often bridge the gap between them.
• You are a generalist, but you will deep dive into wide ranging topics, such as performance marketing, offline marketing, pricing, churn, retention, business intelligence etc. when necessary. These analyses will guide strategic and tactical decisions, so an entrepreneurial mindset is indispensable.
• OLX and dubbizle have access to large amounts of relevant data, from tracking of users browsing and transacting on the platforms to advanced management reports, and external sources. It takes a diligent and tools-savvy analyst to turn those data into insights.
• Running an online classifieds platform is a very data-driven affair. All strategic decisions stem from careful consideration of the hard facts and numbers. Both dubizzle and OLX have some impacting developments to work on this year: strategic pricing, the ambition to take performance marketing and offline marketing to the next level and ensuring growth in newly entered markets. And that’s only naming a few. The further the business advances, the greater the need for analysis.

 Desired Skills and Experience

• What will you need to be successful in this role?
• 3+ years of experience in the design and development of Enterprise Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence systems;
• Experience in trackers and web analytics (ATI, MixPanel, GA, etc);
• Experience in data visualization, reporting and analytics (Microstrategy, Tableau);
• Experience in ETL (Pentaho, Python);
• Experience in OLAP Databases (Redshift, PostgresSQL, Teradata, Vertica, Oracle Exadata or Exalytics, DB2);
• Experience in Advanced SQL in data warehouse environment
• Experience in data analysis, problem solving, data modeling and design specific in petabyte scale data warehouse;
• Experience in data architecture, data warehousing, master data management, enterprise information integration and ETL;
• Experience with the design of large scale ETL solutions integrating multiple source systems in a global multinational environment;
• Ability to mentor others and provide technical direction on data architecture, reporting and warehousing.
