Job Opening for Lincoln Regional Manager with Ford Middle East & Africa

Job description

Responsible for leading Distributor Growth Plans and Drive short term results in the market place for Lincoln Middle East .

  • Manage the tactical development, implementation, and execution of the Lincoln brand sales strategy for the Middle East (six key markets)
  • Execute a Business Unit-specific plan that leverages ONE Ford, specifically, by researching existing best practices and standards with other global business units and determining replicable programs, processes, and standards, and then activating and managing local work streams to implement those elements
  • Responsible for implementing a 2-year strategy for MEA Lincoln that includes specific definitions of success with accompanying metrics, and critical milestones for which the implementation plan may be guided and held accountable; plan includes critical points whereby the Lincoln brand area will manage performance
  • Create and execute a brand and digital strategy for Lincoln and Distributors
  • Achieve sales targets for new vehicles in concert with existing field personnel – navigating a highly matrixed organization
  • Extensive partnering business consulting with dealers, analyzing key operational data and working in concert with senior dealer management to develop and execute business improvement plans to achieve specified metric results
  • Facility and staff reviews of dealer operations and branches, developing and implementing differentiated Lincoln operating standards
  • Financial analysis of dealer operations, with succinct key findings and recommendations
  • Co-creation of annual metrics and business scorecards to monitor and track dealer performance, and activate corrective actions or performance interventions where necessary
  • Regular analysis of dealer inventory, ensuring appropriate days supply is maintained with adequate mix of market-relevant vehicles
  • Review of Dealers’ local marketing campaigns, ensuring effectiveness of the ad spend and alignment with brand messaging
  • Analysis of key customer experience data, ensuring the dealership is providing experiences (such as showroom touch points and vehicle delivery) that deliver on brand promise  

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must possess an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or communications; MBA is highly preferred
  • Strong business analytical acumen; able to read, interpret, and action data into business plans that provide a compelling case for change
  • Presentation skillls – written and verbal; able to walk people of various levels of an organization through complex data utilizing efficient and effective methods, as determined most appropriate for the audience and contents (i.e., Excel tables vs graphs vs PowerPoint decks)
  • Relationship building – able to read and connect with key business partners (internal and external) and establish colaborative partnerships
  • Team Building – ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and extremely diverse workforce
  • Strong MS Office suite computers skills – especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred

Must possess a valid driver’s license; ability to travel across Middle East geographies for several days at a time is required    

Qualifications & Experience:

Must have at least five years of luxury manufacturer to distributor relationship experience
Preferred experiences include:

Luxury automotive OEM field sales experience, working directly with dealers as a representative of a major volume automaker

Retail experience leading a team of sales professionals in a high volume major distributor environment

Opening for Government Affairs Analyst MEA with Ford Middle East & Africa

Job description

  • Analyzes emerging regulatory and legislative issues affecting the MEA Business Unit and its regional operations (with an initial, immediate focus on MENA); consults with managers to determine the impact on business practices, operational costs and efficiencies, and profitability.
  • Prepares policy position documentation and briefing materials for meetings; participates in Policy Committee activities as needed to ensure corporate alignment key areas of policy focus include, but are not limited to, political environment, trade agreements, government incentives and government support programs, legislative and regulatory requirements of the region’s automotive policies
  • From time to time supports and participates in lobbying activities;
  • Supports the Director with the coordination of the BPR (Weekly Regional Business Plan of the Function) by collating and consolidating inputs from the GCR managers and key stakeholders
  • Supports the Director and managers (as needed) on ad hoc departmental administrative projects /requirements as they might emerge
  • Supports building relationships with government officials by setting up meetings, facility tours, and developing tailored events
  • Helps develop and helps execute advocacy strategies to favorably influence legislation and regulations;
  • Supports the Director and Managers by providing coordination leadership for Operation Better World and related Ford CSR activities for the MEA region
  • Assists with development of Company positions and communication with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepares compelling reports and presentations on a variety of industry and Company topics to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Researches & determines key data with which to keep abreast and communicate to the Director of Governmental Affairs, and as needed to support the department Managers 

Skills & Abilities:

  • undergraduate degree in political science, business , or communications;  graduate degree highly preferred although not a must; well organized, effective and efficient work ethic
  • strong policy and business analytical acumen
