Business Analyst role on key Strategic Programs will either drive independent work modules or support project lead and team members on larger work modules, typically involved in the following:

Develop understanding of key client requirements or pain-points

Job Description

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting critical Transformation projects, and sits within our Indirect Tax team based in Dubai. You will possess strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present using MS Visio and Powerpoint, alongside excellent technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the requirements gathering, design, build, and testing of the implementation of third party software products as well as our own custom solutions
  • ​Assist the Transformation Lead with formulation of overall solution design.
  • Good experience in process mapping, system flow design, back office / outsource function
  • Understanding of KPIs, business requirements development, elicitation workshops, test case scenarios, SIT and UAT for country rollout
  • Organisational design in terms of process governance and controls
  • Development of procedure manuals
  • Running business requirements workshops
  • Works with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service/function/product provided;
  • Uses data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes

Requirements

  • Experience of LEAN, 6 Sigma, CBAP Qualification preferred but not essential

  • 3 years' experience in corporate, state & local taxes, indirect, value-added, or transaction tax compliance preferred, but not essential
  • Experienced with the software implementation life cycle
  • Experience in ERP system implementation and preferably completed at least one full lifecycle of the implementation.

Job Purpose

To deliver high quality end-to-end business analysis, process (re)design and document associated policies & procedures across multiple departments and/or a range of organisation-wide projects.

Support business transformation activities involving any combination of processes, people or systems (e.g. organisational integration; business change impact; process re-engineering; system evaluation / comparison).

Accountabilities

Document business processes, rules and/or policies, including process flows and business impact documentation. Work closely with stakeholders to define change and establish business future state.

Actively identify and translate high-level business requirements into solution specifications, covering processes, people, technology, and manage changes to such specifications.

Facilitation of workshops to gather requirements and perform business analysis, understand, interpret and document project scope, objectives, benefits and tasks.
