You will be joining an extremely motivated sales team, playing a key role as subject matter expert in state of the art security spaces. You will be responsible for a wide range of presales activities including:
- Product presentation and technical deep diving to prospects, customers and partners
- Support in conducting and documenting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and provide live demos of Micro Focus’s Security solutions portfolio
- Help in Addressing RFI/RFP/RFQ responses in an extensive, formally excellent and timely manner
- Help to define and explain sophisticated architectural solution designs, together with the Senior Solution Consultants
- Keeping a healthy and positive relationship with key customers and partners, meeting them regularly and keeping them up to date with the latest product releases and new features
- Representing Micro Focus at trade shows and events, also as public speaker
- Besides the product specialization required and explained above, the selected candidate will be trained about the entire Micro Focus Security portfolio including: Micro Focus ArcSight, Fortify application security suite - static, dynamic and real time security testing; Data Security – FPE encryption and key management devices.
Basic requirements are:
- Technical University or Bachelor's degree with a strong focus in information security or 1-3 years technical and/or solution experience in IT security industry.
- Ability to understand, write and troubleshoot Scripts (RegEx, Perl and Phyton are a plus)
- Robust knowledge of information security fundamentals, IP protocols and networking
- Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, as well as RDBMS
- Knowledge of state of the art deployment scenarios, including Hybrid IT, Cloud Computing and Containerization.
- Knowledge about cryptography and different encryption standards and methods
Considered as a plus:
- Existing hands-on skills on Micro Focus ArcSight (preferred) or another market leading SIEM. Data Encryption and Application Security skills will be preferably considered.
- Already having an notable security industry certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH)
- Programming experience in C++, Java or other object oriented programming language
- Specialization in Machine Learning and statistical analysis (Security Analytics.

- Open-minded, keen to learn, flexible thinker
- Strong team-player with a “we” mentality
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Creative and proactive in managing time-bond tasks and concurrent requests coming from the larger sales team
- Ability to pick up new technology and aspects quickly
- Fluent spoken and written language skills in German and English, additional languages are considered as a plus
- The position is based in Dubai, and travelling is required for ~50% of working time, mainly throughout UAE, Saudi Arabia and greater Africa.
