Etihad Airways is hiring Senior Manager Digital and Social Media

Etihad has commenced a transformation program to uplift the digital experience across the travel journey and offer a value for money retail travel experience. As part of that journey we are pleased to announce a thought-provoking opportunity to join the Group Corporate Communication function. This role reports to the VP Corporate Communication and is critical to leading and supporting Etihad Aviation Group by providing Digital Communications expertise internally and externally and optimises the online presence of the Group, ensuring that its digital channels and content drive impact and engagement with its stakeholders.

In addition, you will be responsible for the Group's Digital Communications strategy and team across the markets in which they operate - focusing on delivering a best in class digital ecosystem and act as a key partner in educating and transferring knowledge of digital media internally as well as to collaborate effectively with the team in the Corporate Affairs department to ensure that Digital Communications is integrated with the overall communications strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and cascade Etihad’s Marketing strategy across the department to ensure alignment to overall targets
  • Design, plan and lead large size strategic market research initiatives to collect information on trends and develop effective marketing programs
  • Define and cascade guidelines on channels identification to ensure selection of the most effective and cost efficient media to reach target customers
  • Review KPIs and dashboards to identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions
  • Provide advice to top management on innovative marketing programs and new channels to support the adoption of effective strategies
  • Support management in fixing potential risks and major issues to ensure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
  • Provide recommendations to other department to support in the identification of the most effective channels to maximize marketing opportunities and commercial results
  • Review and report to top management on major risks and issues to ensure they are addressed effectively and on time
  • Guide, coach and provide informal / formal feedback to the managerial team to contribute to leadership and professional skills development and to ensure results improvement
  • Develop and monitor KPIs on team performance to lead individual and team development
  • Develop, implement a comprehensive 360-degree Marketing performance measurement and management (MPM) approach to boost and optimise Marketing effectiveness, results and ROI
  • Demonstrate accountability in the identification and resolution of potential / actual risks and issues in order to boost Marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Establish, implement and optimise a best practice (roadmap) approach at a strategic and tactical level to appropriately benchmark and optimise the Product (the ‘what’) and Delivery (the ‘how)
  • Lead and report on initiatives to ensure proper monitoring of ROI
  • Support in managing the departments by leading initiatives aimed at innovations identification and results improvements
  • Liaise with stakeholders in developing integrated commercial and marketing strategies to proactively build brand, aid research and drive conversion to deliver commercial targets
  • Liaise with Revenue Management and attend strategic meetings to provide recommendations and support on identification of market trends and needs
  • Lead the team continuous development in order to improve the expertise and knowledge of innovative channels
  • Represent the department for the own area of responsibility in internal / external meetings and conferences

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Diploma or any relevant qualification in Public Relations/Communications/Marketing or related field
  • At least 12 years of work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies and plans (traditional, digital, and experiential)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills for a diverse range of purposes and formats, including print, online, interactive, and social media.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and web publishing, Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other analytics tools
  • Collaborative team player who is willing to tackle the unexpected, embrace change and work cooperatively in diverse group situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to work under pressure in a high volume environment, execute multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to comply with confidentiality expectations specific to sensitive matters or situations as they arise
