Strategy
- Implement the Function/Department strategy to ensure alignment with Etihad’s strategy
- Policies and procedures
- Implement relevant policies, processes and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
- Day-to-day operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards

- Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate performance

- Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage communication initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Plan, lead and monitor the development and execution of, company events to ensure Etihad’s image is properly communicated and marketing standards are reflected.
- Develop, finalize and manage communications and contents for a wide range of channels to ensure Etihad’s messages are properly communicated to internal and external audience.
- Draft and develop strategic announcements, to ensure they reflect business requirements and are compliant with communications guidelines.
- Draft strategic announcements and Senior Management messages to ensure effectiveness and alignment to communications standards Plan, lead and monitor internal and/or external communication projects to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget and according to quality standards.
- Assist in developing Etihad’s communication approach and annual plan for specific department, to ensure the usage of effective communications channels according to corporate guideline and target audience.
- Support crisis management team by developing communications to protect Etihad’s reputation.
- Review and analyse reports to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Prioritize initiatives to be proposed to senior management to ensure they are relevant for department improvement.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Candidates holding a degree or relevant professional qualification: 3 year of relevant work experience
- Candidates not holding a degree or relevant professional qualification: 6 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in complex environment
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies and plans
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for a diverse range of purposes and formats, including print, online, interactive, and social media.
- Collaborative team player who is willing to tackle the unexpected, embrace change and work cooperatively in diverse group situations
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to work under pressure in a high volume environment, execute multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to comply with confidentiality expectations specific to sensitive matters or situations as they arise
