Bayzat is a technology company that provides insurance and HR solutions. Our platform Bayzat Benefits allows companies to manage insurance, payroll and HR administration. Through this approach, we want to make a world-class employee experience accessible to every SME.

As the VP Engineering, you will own the software development process. You will be responsible to make everyone in the engineering organization successful; by building and managing processes and fixing the issues that are getting in the way of success.

You are expected to:

• Lead the software development activities of multiple squads and own the delivery
• Work closely with the product team to build great products and features and ensure amazing customer experiences
• Ensure proper approaches and processes are in place, up-to-date and well-communicated for maximum productivity
• Resolve bottlenecks and conflicts
• Contribute hands-on to development and code reviews as necessary
• Participate in recruitment and team building
• Work hard, build trust, lead by example

We are looking for:  

• Good understanding of software development, hands-on experience with several technologies and platforms
• Good grasp of software development processes and methodologies
• Good understanding of planning, estimation and resource allocation, as well as the mythical man-month
• Great leadership and communication skills
• Process awareness with excellent prioritization
• Good understanding of tradeoffs and their effects to the business and customer
