The role is to provide support with supply chain activities, verify capability and improve performance of Suppliers including 3rd Party Suppliers with respect to quality, cost, delivery, reliability and processes. The position will interface across all areas of the business working in a collaborative way to ensure adequate control plans are established and managed with a selected number of Suppliers.

Your key responsibilities:
- Support Procurement to identify, qualify and develop performance of suppliers to create a competitive commercial position without prejudice to product quality.
- Support with developing and agreeing the standards that Aggreko expect their products to meet and develop Quality Plan / inspection regimes to identify quality risk.
- Support activities within the Commodity Management Team to improve supplier quality, delivery and performance for the assigned commodity areas.
- Support the Corrective Action and Root-Cause Analysis processes associated with supplier quality issues.
- Support PPAP qualification activities associated with new parts as part of NPD projects, and support re-qualifying parts as part of supplier transition projects.
- Support, develop and introduce action plans for eliminating quality and supply issues. Oversee the introduction of change requirements arising from NPD related activities.
- Work proactively with suppliers to invoke prompt rectification and repair activities if issues occur.
- Identify and measure key performance indicators for a selected number of suppliers.

Sounds like you? Here’s what you’ll need to demonstrate:
Education / Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline is preferred.
- At least 1-3 years’ experience of high value capital equipment manufacturing and production techniques, mechanical/electrical assembly and test.
- Experience with ISO standards and supplier quality auditing.
- Background in statistical process control, capability analysis, knowledge of 4Cs concept.
- Skilled in stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Experience in a successful fast moving and high performance Original Equipment. Manufacturing (OEM) business sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
Professional skills / experience
- Must have demonstrated understanding of PPAP processes and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of basic quality tools and systems.
- Understanding of precision metrology techniques.
- Exposure to value engineering, lean systems thinker, change agent.
- Proven experience of delivering continual improvement and achieving targets.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and e-mail.
- Knowledge of Aggreko products helpful but not essential.
Personal skills / Experience
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing and engineering environment is preferred but not essential.
- Can demonstrate strong communication skills and proven interpersonal skills.
- Flexible individual, capable of working on own initiative and who is comfortable working at all levels of Aggreko’s business.
- A motivated self-starter who is comfortable working within a team but who has the ability to work on an individual basis when required.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight delivery times.
- Positive “can do” attitude. Solutions driven problem solver who can develop and present plans for future operation
- Experience in a fast moving commercial environment, able to demonstrate the ability to achieve best value whilst building a stable long term approach with Supplier Management that delivers a reliable and sustainable performance across the Supply Chain.
- Highly committed and goal driven lead or manager who takes personal ownership of the objectives for their team.
