Opening for Senior Strategy Manager with National Bank of Abu Dhabi

Job description

The key role of the Senior Strategy Manager GRC is the identification, definition and implementation of the strategic GRC roadmap and offering functional expertise to GRC’s senior management.

Typical elements of the strategic roadmap encompasses:

Establishment of inputs for strategic decision making through environment analysis
Industry/ competitor analysis
Customer & market trends
Macroeconomic forecast
Joint development of GRC-wide strategies with all stakeholders
Definition/ Review
Operationalization of strategies
Implementation tracking
Management of select strategic projects
Identification of relevant strategic projects incl. vendor selection jointly with procurement
Project/ business plan development
Project Coordination
Execution/ implementation tracking
Thought leadership
Identifying best practices across industries
Providing functional expertise
Alignment of large CAPEX investments with bank-wide strategy

In addition to overall GRC reponsibilities, the Senior Strategy Manager GRC role requires providing dedicated support regarding Digital Banking across all GRC Lines of Business. Typical elements of the Digital Banking specific support would include:

Articulate & opertionalize Digital strategy
Articulate overall Digital Strategy and support in periodic strategic reviews
Develop Digital Banking strategy for new areas and establish executive presentations
Develop Digital Banking strategy for overseas locations (Oman, Jordan, Egypt) including Operating model
Operationalize the Digital Ban`king strategy via Global Commercial specific projects & initatives
Develop key insights
Derive insights, key drivers, dependencies from existing data / reports / dashboards on products, attrition and risk
Environment scan
Macroeconomic: Understand key macro factors driving / affecting Digital Banking and develop strategic initiatives
Competition scan: Understand comeptitor’s action and reactions to Digital Banking drivers from a strategic perspective based on market intelligence
Project prioritization
Provide input for Digital Banking project and spend prioritization

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge/ Skills
Excellent analytical/ problem solving skills and knowledge of functional topics such as Strategy, Operating Model, Organization, Market research, Macroeconomics, M&A/ Corporate Finance, Management Accounting, and Jurisdictional Knowledge in various branch countries,
Ability to transform data into intelligence with experience in designing management reports,
Assessing impact of internal and external topics on the bank’s strategy,
Excellent inter-personnel, communication, organizational and presentation skills required to interact with and provide intelligence to senior management for strategic business decision,
Ability to identify sources of information and determine new techniques relating to strategic planning and information analysis,
Multilingual.

Experience
Project Mgmt. experience in a top-tier Management Consultancy or in-house Strategy Unit,
Similar position with exposure to Digital Banking in financial services or top-tier Management Consultancy
Experience in international financial services industry,
Experience in designing and managing large scale organization wide projects,
Experience in working internationally and across multiples markets and regions,
Ivy league MBA preferred.
