Scope:
Grid Automation ME Region Leader is in charge of all customer interactions and activities in the ME Region. This includes business development, tendering activities, projects execution and quality, customer level 1 and 2 support and customer satisfaction. He/she will manage the business & resources of the ME Region within the frame of strategy, 3YP, budgets and policies defined at Grid Automation level and agreed with ME Grid Solutions region. He/she will lead the actions for the region growth and P&L/cash monthly, quarterly and yearly targets in full compliance with EHS and GE Values.
Major Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
· Min 7 years of experience of leading product management, product marketing and/or technical development, in grid automation portfolios.
· Deep understanding of the ME culture with Arabic speaking capabilities
· Strong understanding of operations
Desired
Expertise required in: project management, orders & sales management, P&L management, customer relationships, team management and development
Successful projects management experience
Sales development experience in the substation automation and/or relays domain expertise
Strong business acumen, leadership, discipline in managing the day to day business
Ability to work in international and matrix organizations
Arab speaking is mandatory

Major Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational results for the portfolio, including financial & market share objectives, managing key business financial performance indicators such as those on the operating statement and balance sheet.
- Deploy Grid Automation strategy in the region, have vision, understand competitors’ positions, provide SWOT and implement appropriate organization. Contribute to the Grid Solutions and Grid Automation strategy in relation with region RVP.
- Convey strategy in sales plans with the team. Drive business development in higher margins markets and opportunities. Promote customer relation, intimacy and satisfaction. Participate in CAP preparations. Regular meetings and follow-up with ME Grid Solutions region and regions of Grid Automation
- Be the entrepreneur and drive the business. Be involved in decision making processes. Support, guide and promote UMDs. Be the reference in management behavior. Lead people development across the region sites. Be fully compliant with Grid Solutions and Grid Automation instructions. Participate to Grid Automation and Grid Solutions monthly governance. Contribute and lead integration activities as per the Grid Automation integration plans.
- Have P&L responsibility for the region. Prepare budget, including savings actions and follow-up. Ensure monthly reports with action plans, mitigation plans and recovery plans. Ensure cash management. Comply with internal control kits and instructions. Manage CAPEX
- Convey strategy into the operational mode. Execute projects in alignment with PMH. Promote no-quality issue policy, monitor quality KPIs and develop customer satisfaction. Implement and ensure compliance with all instructions for tender approval, project execution and project reviews. Build mitigation plans when margin deviations occur. Ensure kick-off and contract closing meetings. Implement sourcing strategy and ensure benefits from actions
- Ensure participation to Grid Automation governance meetings : weekly steerco, monthly R&O & push sales calls, monthly region calls with Grid Automation VP and other steerco members, support and provide data to monthly projects portfolio management and reviews including BCR management and anticipation of customer issues.
- Build, lead & coach a team of top talent individuals through dynamic and creative employee engagement activities leading to a lean, fast, accountable & winning culture.
- Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes in ebook and on site. Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner
- Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team.
