We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Quality Assurance function at Senior Engineer level. As Quality Assurance Engineer, you will add immediate value by managing and conducting internal and external audits, investigations and assessment in accordance with approved manuals, to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain continued licenses validity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and conduct internal and external audit, inspections and investigations by leveraging on a wide range of audit techniques to identify risks and potential issues in order to support their timely and accurate resolution
• Support the development of Safety Management System (SMS) to provide necessary expertise on own area of responsibility
• Conduct investigations on maintenance related incidents, accidents, and process errors and evaluate the causal factors to ensure accurate tracking in case of audit
• Produce comprehensive reports on incidents, accidents, and process errors to prevent against recurrence
• Manage NAA approval process including initial application, approval renewal and extension processes, to ensure continuity of necessary authorizations
• Provide training to and support the development of staff to ensure awareness of maintenance procedures that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Conduct reviews and assess qualifications of all aircraft engineers and authorization holders to ensure compliance with regulation, internal procedures and standards
• Conduct reviews, assess capabilities, and report on new aircraft, aircraft components, and facilities to ensure compliance with regulation, internal procedures and standards
• Represent the Company in industry meetings and to official regulatory boards to ensure any relevant feedback is taken into consideration and highlighted internally

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Policies and Procedures - Implement relevant policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
  • Day-to-Day Operations - Supervise the standard and complex day-to-day operations to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and in compliance with established standards and procedures
  • Safety, Quality & Environment - Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (ICAO).
• Minimum of 10 years of aviation industry experience with at least 5 years in a Quality Assurance (maintenance) environment.
• Formal aeronautical maintenance training. GCAA CAR 145, CAR M, CAR 66, EASA 145, EASA 66 training, CAR Part 21J. Minimum aircraft specific Level 1 Type Training on at least one type of aircraft operated by Etihad (Level 3 Type training is preferred). Formal training in quality assurance auditing, preferably in CAR M and CAR 145 to Lead Auditor standard. MEDA and/or Aircraft      Incident / Accident investigation training."Manage and conduct internal and external audits, investigations and assessment in accordance with approved manuals, to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain continued licenses validity.
