Successful sales in today's online advertising space require minds that can not only keep pace with rapid technological change, but stay one step ahead. As a Partner Technology Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams of Engineering, Sales, and Product management members to leverage emerging technologies for our customers. From design and conceptualization through to testing and deployment, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising and platform partnerships. You will work on developing product and technical strategies as well as prioritize projects and resources to assist our account management team and partners. You're able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints and love bringing new products to market and to our partners.
YouTube's Partner Product Solutions organization is dedicated to addressing our businesses most pressing and complex technology challenges in relation to developing, growing, and managing our content partnerships.
In this role, you will work with teams across YouTube to develop and deploy innovative product and technical solutions and strategies that deliver success for our business and our partners today, and also increase our capabilities for tomorrow. As part of this team, you will lead developments and deployments across existing and new initiatives in general and family entertainment, music, sports, gaming, e-commerce and beyond.
YouTube has grown into a community used by over 1 billion people across the globe to access information, share video, and shape culture. The YouTube team helps budding creators build careers, creates products like YouTube Kids, YouTube Music, and YouTube Gaming, and engages communities around shared passions and global conversations. Responsibilities
- Identify, drive, expand, optimize and manage the technical aspects of existing and new content business opportunities by leveraging YouTube solutions and technologies.
- Perform integration consulting and reviews, advocate for new product features, deliver internal product feedback, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of content partner technical challenges.
- Develop new solutions, technologies, and practices that enhance and expand the capability of our teams and partners to grow their content businesses on YouTube.
- Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in internet technologies, such as C/C++, Java, Python, XML, HTML, JavaScript and Unix/Linux.
- Client-facing experience.
- Ability to speak and write in Turkish and English fluently and idiomatically.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Internet video technologies (DRM solutions, video or audio codecs, etc).
- Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively in an environment with competing demands.
- A team player and creative thinker, with the ability to work well in a globally distributed cross-functional environment.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
