As the Marketing Officer for Russia, this role will unlock opportunities for you, enabling you to further develop your expertise within a progressive culture where a huge emphasis is placed on investing in the best talent.

ROLE AIM

To position Etihad Airways as a premium airline in the Russian trade and consumer marketplace, while managing revenue driving marketing initiatives to support the commercial goals of the business. Use all elements of the marketing mix to convey Etihad’s key messages. Manage projects that raise Etihad’s profile and generate sales from conception through to evaluation. To work closely with the Russian Sales and Commercial teams to achieve budgets and targets for the Russia. To work with Head Office Commercial team to ensure that Russia is well represented in the global market.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To develop, implement and evaluate the Russian BTL marketing plan with the market allocated budget
To work in conjunction with the sales team to ensure that trade accounts hit the necessary revenue targets by implementing targeted, relevant promotions.
Supporting Sales in planning of marketing activities as part of agent incentive contracts; evaluating marketing requests submitted by Sales during the business year.
Ensuring EY.com websites for the Russian market (Russian and English languages) are operational and content is accurate and up-to-date at all times; developing and managing activities to drive revenue generation for the Russian market through EY.com sites
Reviewing and directing the marketing activites in 2 further locations - supervising 2 members of staff remotely
Developing and implementing online training and information tools for agents to raise awareness for the Etihad brand, products, services and to grow loyalty at "Point Of Sale"
Planning and managing marketing activities to increase the number of members in the Etihad Small Medium Enterprise program (in cooperation with Sales); developing campaigns to grow the member database, to stimulate flight activity and to increase loyalty among existing members.
To work with sponsorship properties to ensure that Etihad gains commercially from these sponsorships in terms of brand awareness and sales (once a local sponsorship is in place)
Identify opportunities to grow direct business through the direct sales team.
Manage and coordinate Etihad presence at trade shows, exhibitions and promotional events, ensuring that the relevant people are targeted with the relevant messages. Following up all events with targeted communications.
To build and manage a trade database which can be utilised by sales and marketing to distribute targeted communications.
Ensuring supply with marketing collateral provided by head office (selecting appropriate material for local market, controlling stock and distribution)
 Handling local production of marketing collateral and stationery as well as localization of head office marketing collateral (deciding on items and quantity, requesting proposals, placing orders, controlling stock and distribution)
Maximise local PR opportunities and work closely with the PR agency, managing all trade and consumer PR.
Manage local relationships with Tourist Boards and work on co-branded activity that fulfils Etihad’s commercial needs.
Manage relationships with Moscow airports to maximise efficiency of joint marketing campaigns
To drive sales from Etihad Guest and EY.com databases in Russia by managing databases and implementing relevant communications
The role will operate within a pressurised environment with reduced lead times and tight deadlines. The role will often require long and sometimes unsocial hours,

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Educated to degree level, a qualification in marketing is preferable
Post holder must have  a minimum of five years relevant work experience
Either travel or marketing experience is necessary
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Russian and English
Excellent creative writing skills
Strategic planning and project management skills
Keen analytical ability
Strong problem-solving abilities
Well versed in statistical techniques
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
