A role has arisen for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main purpose of this position is to manage the implementation, administrative requirements and maintenance of the Training and Development of Colleagues Process and the Assess Colleague Competence and Performance Process at Madinat Jumeirah to ensure that the Training Department adds value to the organization and supports the Jumeirah Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Hallmarks.
Your key duties will include:
Drive compliance in the business unit with the Jumeirah HR processes related to training and development to ensure that the business unit is applying Jumeirah training processes and standards in a way that is consistent with other business units and is adopting best practice wherever identified
Drive the compliance of Jumeirah Learning Centre in terms of ensuring the Service Level Agreement is achieved
Be a Business Partner to the Resort by meeting regularly with departments and providing support where necessary
Complete an annual learning and development needs analysis to ensure that the training needs of the business are identified
Produce an annual training plan for the business unit to ensure that identified learning and development needs are met in a structured and systematic manner
Work in collaboration with Director of Learning and Development to ensure that business unit is meeting Regional training targets and objectives.
Develop training sessions that satisfy identified operational needs within the business unit
Complete an annual evaluation of training delivered in the business to evaluate the execution of the Learning and Development plan and ensure the plan was effective and met the needs of the business
Monitor the use of all training materials to ensure they comply with Jumeirah standards (i.e.: training hand outs, presentation, etc.)
Complete post training evaluation on training delivered in the business to ensure that training is effective and meets the training objectives for the programme
Drive the Departmental Trainers process to ensure the effectiveness of departmental trainers within the resort
Drive the development and certification of Departmental Trainers in the resort
Implement the Departmental Training Review Process to ensure that the effectiveness of departmental training and Departmental Trainers is systematically monitored
Regularly meet, coach, support and motivate departmental trainers to ensure they are supported in meeting the on-the-job training requirements of their departments
Drive Leadership and Management development, to ensure that Leaders and Managers have access to high quality training and development opportunities through effective design and delivery of Leadership Orientation, Leadership training interventions as well as outsourcing of high quality training where required
Drive the implementation of the National Development Process to ensure that Nationals are being coached, supported and mentored, and have access to appropriate training opportunities in accordance with the Jumeirah National Development Policy
Regularly meet with, coach, mentor and support UAEN graduates placed within the business unit to ensure their training programmes are being implemented and to assist in the production of Individual Development Plans and maintain effective relationships.
Manage the communicate of information about training events in a timely and professional manner to ensure the business is kept up to date about training and development activities
Manage the use of the Learning Management System to ensure training nominations, bookings and attendance tracking is carried out effectively.
Manage the use of the Talent Management System across the business unit and ensure colleague appraisals, performance reviews and individual development plans are being completed
Manage the Graduate Management and Internship Programmes to ensure they are being implemented correctly within the business unit
Manage all Learning & Development Projects and Events, ensuring that the team meet the required deliverables in an effective manner ensuring achievement of quarterly KPI's
Support the Director of Learning & Development in compiling and managing the business unit training budget to ensure that costs and expenses are correctly identified and controlled
Control the resources allocated to the training team, e.g. training rooms, AV equipment, to ensure they are utilised effectively and efficiently
Represent the Training Team and the business unit at internal and external meetings/ workshops
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by Management
In order to be considered for this role, you will have formal qualifications in learning, training and development related field. CIPD certification / licensed facilitator of Franklin Covey courses, MBTI Test, EQ test, or psychometric/ability assessment certification will be highly desirable.
You will possess a min of 5 years' experiences in a training role and min 3 years in supervising or managing a team. You shall have the experience in the delivery of supervisory level courses, as well as, facilitation of group and task trainer assessments
Proficiency in computer software systems such as MS Office, desirable with experience of "Sum Total" learning management systems. Applications is essential as are excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, Arabic speaker will be desirable.
