What you’ll deliver
- You’ll provide the strategic direction, leadership and management of the AFS ensuring appropriate corporate and regulatory policies are set, followed and monitored.
- We’ll look to you to be working effectively with aviation community stakeholders, public and private sector organisations, including the external emergency services.
- You’ll need to provide the highest levels of safety on the airfield and occupied buildings in support of incident / accident prevention and effective response.
- Additionally, you’ll need be accountable to the Department of Civil Defence to ensure NFPA / UAE legislation and international best practise is delivered and managed, through the monitoring of DA processes, to ensure fire and life safety remains a top priority.
What you bring
- You’ll be educated to Degree level or equivalent in a discipline related to Airport operations, safety, fire engineering or Aviation.
- You should have at least 10 years’ experience in a relevant field, including 6 years’ in senior leadership level.
- You’ll have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of airport operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key.
- You’ll also have a minimum of ICAO Level 4 in English language competence.
