Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is hiring Regional Director of Food & Beverage (Dubai Based)

The Regional Director of Food and Beverage will be responsible for the overall supervision, leadership and direction of the Food & Beverage division to ensure the efficient, effective and profitable operation of all outlets in respective hubs.This will help facilitate the needs of the Hub by aligning all stakeholders with budgeted goals and Brand standards. This position reports to the Hub Exectutive Vice President directly.

Key Functions Will Cover

Financial Performance

  • To review and discuss opportunities for revenue and profit optimization
  • To assist Hub EVPs with any financial analysis of outlet performance data
  • Review and endorse renovation and new hotel concept briefs with ROI
  • Quality Delivery in F&B Operations
  • To roll out HQ-F&B Operations core strategies and initiative at Hub
  • To ensure the quality and delivery of food and beverage in Hub hotels at all times
  • To provide support to Purchasing on Group/Regional procurement contracts/agreements
  • General Hygiene and Sanitation
  • To communicate to HQ-F&B Operations any high risk or guest-related incidents and provide needed direction or support to the hotels

Administration

  • To ensure that all areas of culinary & F&B administration and F&B outlets have Brand manuals and documentation and detailed operation guides
  • To utilize effective communication tools, including Connect for F&B information sharing
  • To establish needed communication meetings, as requested by HQ-F&B or Hub EVP
  • Brand, Marketing and Promotions
  • To strategize with VPSM during the annual marketing & budget process a F&B marketing vision for the hub, including the hotels' F&B positioning, market analysis (SWOT), marketing blueprint and social media activites
  • To be responsible for the HUB F&B public relations strategy and the delivery of social media campaigns ensuring values and goals are achieved. Together with the hotel DOC, implement an F&B marketing strategy and related communications including use of social media, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels
  • To share feedback with Hub hotels on market intelligence and competitors' tactics

Development - New Hotels & Renovations

  • To develop new hotel/renovation F&B concept briefs, Kitchen and BOH briefs and operating philosophy
  • To review BOH drawings and circulation, participate in mock up reviews, and initiate F&B HEOS process for Hotel GM
  • To conduct briefing for the GM and F&B executive on new hotel F&B concepts and philosophies and provide all pre-opening documentation

Winning Culture and Talent Development

  • To assist and arrange task force needs for new hotel projects
  • To work with Hub HR in developing a succession plan for Level 1 Hub F&B colleagues
  • To participate in the annual performance review of L1 colleagues' with Hub-HR

Experience And Skills Required

  • Diploma / Degree holder in Hospitality Management
  • 5 years F&B management experience with at least one year in same capacity
  • Preferably with international and luxury hotel experience
  • EMEA, Europe and North America experience preferred
  • Fluent in speaking and writing English
