Team Description:
Micro Focus’s Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting (SIOC) team engages with top enterprises and organizations around the world to build and optimize cyber defense capabilities, addressing cyber threat management and regulatory compliance needs. Role:
Micro Focus is seeking an energetic, self-driven Security Intelligence and Operations Global Principal Consultant to provide consulting direction to external customers and internal project teams.
The Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting (SIOC) Global Principal Consultant will work directly with Micro Focus project leaders as well as with customers to ensure SIOC solutions are designed, developed, or integrated according to business requirements with an end-to-end business strategy in mind.
The role is for a SIOC Global Principal Consultant that carries both a billable utilization target and delivery of strategic consultative engagements as well as support for global business development activities for the SIOC practice.
Consultants in this role cover global projects and possess:
Executive-level soft skills,
Delivery expertise in cyber security, risk management, security operations, and incident response,
The ability to deliver business results through Micro Focus solutions,
Utilization of proven methods to develop and share reusable assets and drive engagement margin and deliver quality,
The know-how to lead project resources and drive project performance as well as provide expert services, and
Experience assessing security operations capabilities, defining security solution roadmaps and project plans, and providing strategic direction to Managers (Directors and Leaders), Security Analysts, SIEM Engineers, Incident Handlers, Intelligence Analysts, Cyber Hunters, and other individuals executing a security operations mission
Location can be anywhere in MEMA close to a major airport.
Travel percentage is 50%
Responsibilities:
Work with customers to define solutions roadmaps and lead project execution.
Work with Micro Focus leaders to drive delivery strategy, new methods, support for new solutions, advanced product integrations.
Communications regarding the overall progress of projects, current challenges, risks, and other information that may impact customer outcomes.
Manage the day-to-day interactions with customer management. Manage engagement risk and define deliverable content.
Lead the day-to-day interactions with various business groups, executive management, and other stakeholders at customer.
Grow and measure the day-to-day operations of the security operations center.
Guide team selection and skill development, training, and career progression of security staff.
Develop staffing schedules and training plans. Serve as the primary approval for SOC/IR/CTI/HUNT processes, procedures, and information workflows.
Assist the SOC team as needed to ensure all aspects of the project are completed on-time.
Engage in peer-to-peer dialogue with clients about their industry and their situation. Open new discussions and build new opportunities with clients.
Build strong rapport with clients creating respect and trust. Open new relationship opportunities within the client environment.
Construct and gain agreement for business cases. Select appropriate available tools to develop and validate business cases including lifetime costing.
Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and key benefits for both the client and Micro Focus. Plan and lead delivery of workshops and facilitated client events.
Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of Micro Focus standardized and customized services.

Required Experience Qualifications:
- 10+ years working within the information security field, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, controls deployment, and security event analysis,
- 3+ years of functional management experience within a cyber security team
- 5+ years of professional or managed services delivery experience
- 5+ years working knowledge of SIEM technology
- 5+ years working within MSSP, Government Agency or Large Enterprise SOC environments
- Superb customer service skills
- Executive-level technical writing skills
- Executive-level oral communication skills
- Experience in designing and building security or network operations centers
- Track record of high personnel retention and development
- Incident management process development and/or incident management experience
- Professional certification to include PMP, CISSP, SANS GCIA, CISM, CISA
