Abbott Laboratories is looking for Financial Analyst


  • Analysis/interpretation of monthly results and liaison with functional groups to determine future exposures against current benchmark including but not limited to various analysis reports (Variance Analysis, KPI’s, etc.)
  • Analyze and review monthly accounts and develop commentary in conjunction with Finance Manager as to variations to benchmarks for all Product Divisions.
  • Understand business issues and challenge assumptions, and work closely with the Finance Manager to provide management with quality commentary at financial month-end closing and every business update cycle.
  • Design of templates for data collection and consolidation across MENA region, coordination of information requirement among various stakeholders, provide the commercial team with the required sales reports/analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with AV Heerlen to ensure monthly rebate accruals.
  • Special projects/ ad-hoc reports as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Assist in the performance monitoring of the various product groups within the division, prepare product profitability analysis
  • Monitor expenses (cost centers) and Provide in-depth analysis on Budget vs, Actuals variances, proactively identify and escalate risks and opportunities, and ensure effective spending
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with corporate / local financial policies across the region.

REQUIREMENTS:   

  • Bachelor’s degree (major in Finance). MBA / CMA Desirable.
  • Minimum 4 years post qualification experience in accounting, budgeting and planning, with a multinational exposure.
  • Advanced level M.S. Excel (Spreadsheets, Macros, etc.) is a must.
  • Experience with (Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Cognos, etc.) preferred
