Play Your Part

Responsible for daily supervision and management of all areas of Tour Experiences & Events with continuing focus on quality and consistency of experiences, product knowledge, tour occupancy and ensuring superior customer service is delivered at all times.  All though a supervisory role, the participant will undertake occasional delivery of tour experiences and/or mentoring of tour guides to ensure tour experiences remain the best they possibly can be.

Works closely with the other Bollywood Park divisions to ensure a high quality and consistent product in order to deliver a superior guest experience, maximize employee satisfaction, and ensure optimum results in terms of attendance and revenues, aligning with the vision, mission and values of the DPR division.

Main Duties:

  • Organization and supervision of the Tour & Special Events team including assessment of product/experience, development/training and coordination of subsequent action plans to ensure tours & event experiences remain of the highest quality, relevance and engaging with the participants
  • Daily supervision of Tour Guides and the Experiences with focus on supporting the team to deliver the best possible tour experiences throughout the park and DPR. Works with other management teams to resolve issues and maximize tour availability and experiences, including assigned seating at shows and restaurants, priority ride access and ensures up-to-date product knowledge with a ‘capture all’ mentality.
  • Ability to conduct on the job training, refresher trainings and conducting written assessment for certification. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of all park wide operational department standards, policies, and procedures.  
  • Open Tours facility following all procedures and ensure operational readiness of both entry Tours Team and other departments – maintains the logs and tour records
  • Conducts daily briefings and tracks meeting minutes
  • Ensures assigned area is operationally ready for arriving guests by assigned time
  • Monitors all employee hours including assigning timed breaks and lunches, ensuring that the operation is covered and all employee required breaks and lunches are issued in a timely manner.  Documents any anomalies
  • Spot checks performance of Tour team and develops action plans when necessary
  • Ensures all team are in position, following set wardrobe standards and deliver exemplary guest service
  • Completes daily paperwork and logs all work issues on appropriate forms
  • Completes all time and attendance paperwork for day’s operation and prepares any next day paperwork when appropriate
  • Build and maintain relationships with the company that benefit the Tours team
  • Monitors guest experience and liaises with park operations teams to ensure tours operate to the highest standard with maximum  attraction/experience availability
  • Responds to any guest situations in which a Tour team member needs additional assistance
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels at all times and monitors staff rotation
  • Provides regular performance based feedback and uses feedback as basis for annual performance evaluations
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team
  •  Liaises with park operations teams to ensure tours & events operate to the highest standard with maximum availability and attraction availability, adjusting tour experiences accordingly as and when required due to park-wide operational changes, guest volume etc.
  • Maintains all daily paperwork for tour experiences & events
  • Attends special project/event meetings and other inter-departmental meetings to represent Tours department   Liaises with park operations teams to ensure tours operate to the highest standard with maximum availability and attraction availability, adjusting tour experiences accordingly as and when required due to park-wide operational changes, guest volume etc.
  • Maintains all daily paperwork for tour experiences
  • Attends special project/event meetings and other inter-departmental meetings to represent Tours and Special Events department
  • Performs on the job training for staff including area certification, written assessments for staff and on-going refresher training
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team
  • Conduct regular meetings with team and individuals ensuring maximum engagement, team development and communication of goals, achievements and product knowledge

In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

Essential:

Diploma
High School degree
3 to 5 years previous experience in theme park / hospitality industry as a supervisor / duty manager / VIP tours.
Leading a multi-cultural staff
Adapting to changing work environment whilst keeping a positive attitude
2 years supervisory experience in a customer focused role within a Theme Park/Hospitality/Concierge Environment UAE

Desirable:

Certification courses in service/hospitality / amusement industry
Hotel Management
Opening of a new store at supervisory role
Supervised large work groups
Knowledge of computers (MS Office)
Strong interpersonal skills
Fluent in Arabic
Knowledge of Indian languages / Bollywood Films
Fun loving
Ability to conduct team building activities

Availabilty :

Work Week- flexible work week to match operating hours and guest demand/ including late hours and weekends
Available for overtime work as schedule requires
Available for extended and fluctuating work hours per operational demands.
Site work on functioning construction site is required
Project office is located in an on-site facility at the Dubai Parks Back Lot
Travel outside of the site office may be required.
Business travel may be required
