Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for leading the Visual Merchandising team across different markets (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iran and other markets as defined); prioritizing results within Visual Merchandising in key focus areas for the business within adidas. Establish the standards in Visual Merchandising by the use of guidelines, defining working processes & initiating new methods of approach. Directly manage the outsource team and maximizing profitability, growth and benefits of this team across the markets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of outsourced Visual Merchandisers and ensure they are visiting priority doors within the market as agreed with the leadership teams and Visual Merchandising Director
• Evaluate Visual Merchandising visit approaches in line with individual country and account door needs
• Prioritize the door list to ensure the required visit approaches are achievable via outsourced Visual Merchandising team
• Work closely with the market teams to fully understand the customer requirements of the Visual Merchandising team
• Collaborate with the market teams to ensure their full understanding of the Global direction, standards and guidelines
• Execute a consistent Model store cascade process, specific to market and customer needs
• Coach, develop and execute regular training sessions for team and store as required
• Implement global direction, standards and guidelines for the markets and develop consistent solutions for accounts based on the different channels
• Ensure consistency across channels, approaches with peer group and Global Visual Merchandising direction
• Work closely with peer group to align on Mock shop during GTM
• Ensure alignment with key departments across the store opening process (Trade Marketing, Store development, Sales, and Peers)
• Ensure alignment with key departments across campaign launch support and feedback (Trade Marketing and Sales)
• Ensure the market team works in a consistent way with the rest of the Emerging Markets Central team
KPIs:
• Successful management of the outsource team and achieve high compliance scores
• Successful Model store cascade process introduced and delivered into markets, and achieve high compliance scores
• On-time and high standard new store openings
• Focused door list and visit strategy to reflect the needs of the business for visit frequency
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good experience of managing Visual Merchandising teams across multiple countries
• Experience of running a model store process
• Strong experience of leading and managing store openings
• Experience of working with whole sale accounts whilst working for an over-arching brand
• English fluency required
• French & Arabic desired
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
* University degree in Business or Marketing or Visual Merchandising equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years progressive leadership experience in Retail, specifically Visual Merchandising.
• 2 years’ experience within an international Field Visual Merchandising role
