Opening for Business Development Manager - Data Center Integrated Modular Solutions with Emerson

Job description

Emerson Network Power delivers data center racks, server rack cabinets, and enclosure solutions, from Knürr and Liebert.  Data Center rack solutions support IT and networking equipment in computer rooms of all sizes, with rack enclosures that contain precision cooling, uninterruptible power, rack PDUs, and wiring management in a sturdy, lockable cabinet.

Based in Dubai and covering the Middle East & Africa region, we have a new vacancy for an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive new opportunities and manage sales/order targets.

Reporting to the MEA Sales Director, this role is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the strategic growth of our business in one of the fastest growing markets globally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and manage key COE strategies in the region whilst collaborating with the wider team to form a common regional approach complementing the wider business.
  • Assist in setting a detail strategy for the territory as well as the execution of the approved strategy, must be goal orientated to continually develop the regions business. 
  • Obtain market information regarding competitor’s technologies and solutions, potential projects, and other sales related issues.
  • Establish relationships and manage key activities with consultants and specification and accreditation bodies via a trusted advisor / solution approach. 
  • Establish relationships with end customers and consultants whilst managing key accounts
  • Produce and deliver detailed technical sales workshops for both internal and external partners
  • Support partners and internal staff through the MEA region in the preparation of technical / commercial quotes to end customers
  • Perform regular visits to distributors / end customers supporting their Technical requirements and major project approach with a strong solution approach. 
  • Ensure compliance to ITC and other regulatory requirements
  • Plan, manage and participate in exhibitions, seminars and other promotional activities
  • Provide regular forecasts and action plans relating to their sales and orders targets. 
  • Liaise with Bid Management/Shared Services and respective COE’s on major projects and technical solution sales issues.
  • Meet their sales and orders targets for the region 
  • Ensure products and solutions are qualified at customer level and driven through the specification cycle.

Desired Skills and Experience

In order to be considered for this position you will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, demonstrated business development experience, preferably within the MEA region, in the data center solutions market.  You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to present at a senior management level.

This role requires up to 75% travel around the MEA region.
