Purpose
Identity is important for any product in today's competitive marketplace. Brand managers are concerned with creating a lasting impression among consumers and improving product sales and market share. This is achieved by making sure their organization's advertising and marketing activities send out the right image. Key aspects of the job include creating brand guidelines for Ola and for it's sub-brands, supporting category marketing initiatives through design of effective communication programs, co-own the overall marketing execution calendar along with category marketing peers and delivering measurable business results. This role will be a part of the central corporate marketing function and will report to the Director of Marketing.

This role will be a part of the central corporate marketing function and will report to the Director of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- A brand manager monitors market trends and oversees advertising and marketing activities to ensure the right message is delivered for their product or service.
- They work closely with many teams, including product managers, researchers, marketing personnel and creative agencies to make sure their company brand values and image are followed.
- Overseeing the production of TV adverts, newspaper and magazine advertisements, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, events and road shows and liaising with art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers.
- Supervising the sign off of marketing literature and campaigns, liaising with legal and compliance personnel, ensuring the designs and messages meet the company brand and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitoring product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research.
- Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of integrated marketing campaigns, on time and within budget
- Work with key stakeholders to implement campaign activity including: product marketing team, digital marketing teams, brand, customer services, admissions, international, regional, business development, PR and program leaders.
- Be responsible for the production and sourcing of all campaign materials.
- Deliver campaign activity presentations and regular results presentations.
- Requirement
- MBA from Premier B School is a must.
- Relevant experience of minimum 5 years required in FMCG, Telecom or other consumer facing companies. Prior startup experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to hustle! Manage uncertainty, changing business priorities, limited budgets and tight timelines. Execute on assigned tasks with a cool head on their shoulders. The right candidates will thrive in an atmosphere of chaos.
- Have a sharp nose for insights - ability to extract insights from unstructured data is a must. Ideal candidates would be hands on with consumer insights extracted from primary qualitative as well as quantitative consumer research. Must also have experience in executing effective marketing communication rooted in consumer truth.
- Have a sharp creative eye - Ability to judge effectiveness of communication and creative quality, give actionable feedback and see work through completion.
- Have a strong head for numbers - ability to be hands on with data, structure unstructured data and use data to form marketing strategy for Ola and for Ola's sub-brands.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to align cross-functional teams towards a common purpose. Ability to influence across the board, including senior leadership, peers and other stakeholders.
